For sale in our Chicago showroom is this 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS. The Impala was GMs full-size offering, and the SS was their performance division. Combining the two was a big comfortable cruiser than can shred some tire. This example is powered by a 327 CID V8 engine with some go-fast goodies, including a new intake manifold, 670 CFM carb, and a 6qt oil pan, making this one peppy ride. Backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and a 3:55 posi-traction rear axle, it’s fast and fun. The exhaust note rings through the air alerting those nearby of the legend coming their way.
The car was coated in several layers of deep black paint, and the windows have been tinted to give the full effect of this cool cruiser. Hiding under that paint are a collections of metal that has been replaced to remove any ounce of rust from the vehicle. All of the wiring has been removed, and fresh harnesses have been installed in their place. The brakes lines needed some love, so a full set was swapped in, as well as the front discs, rear drums. To top it off, a new master cylinder and brake booster was installed to keep this cars ability to stop better than new.
All in, this is one smooth ride with plenty of pep. Options include: AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, and Alloy Wheels.
