Description

When you set out to build something unique, you need vision. When you get it right, you end up with something like this gorgeous 1969 Chevrolet C10 pickup, which keeps everything that was awesome about the original design and adds some modern touches to really create something special. These trucks are red hot right now, and in our opinion, it's long overdue. They're great-looking, they can handle lots of power, and with a stepside bed like this one, it has a muscle car look that's insanely appealing. Drenched in metallic silver paint, it takes on a clean, chiseled high-tech look that works quite well on the vintage pickup's sheetmetal. It was built about five years ago, so there are some signs of age and use, but you're only going to find little stuff and this truck isn't about nit-picking. Instead, it's got the perfect stance, great panel gaps, and just the right amount of current tech in the sparkling silver paint. All the original trim is intact, including the factory grille and chrome bumpers, and a set of chrome bed rails have been added, which actually make it look sleek, not trucky. The bed itself is nicely finished with real oak, but it's got a bit of weathering on it that I suspect was purely intentional and really looks great. The interior does the same thing, keeping it pretty stock with a few upgrades. You'll note the seat is a late-model bench, but the factory's sticky vinyl is gone, replaced by a comfortable cloth seat cover with a stripe of gray fabric in the center to tie it in with the bodywork. A big 3-spoke steering wheel looks suitably sporting and the factory's gauges are joined by a column-mounted tachometer and a trio of gauges neatly installed in the center of the dash. An aftermarket A/C system was very discreetly installed under the dash, along with an AM/FM/cassette stereo system in the center, so you don't have to give up much to enjoy this flashy pickup. If there's a demerit, it might be that the carpets are a little faded, but it's hardly the kind of thing that you need to pursue in a truck that's so ready to rumble. And rumble it does, thanks to a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 under the hood. It's not too far removed from stock, with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor up top, along with matching chrome air cleaner and valve covers. The firewall was finished with diamond plate pieces that gives it a custom industrial look and the accessories are managed by a modern serpentine belt. There's also a bit aluminum radiator up front, power steering and brakes, and easy service access that means you never have to worry about driving it. The transmission is a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive, making it a superlative highway cruiser, and these trucks in particular, with their coil spring suspensions, are great on the road. A custom Flowmaster exhaust system with tips that exit just ahead of the rear wheels sounds awesome and adds to the custom look. The suspension has been lowered a bit, so it has a cool rake, and it sits on 17-inch aluminum wheels with big 275/60/17 performance radials.Get in and go, this truck is ready. You'll also quickly find that everyone loves the look and it remains practical as well. Can you really do better than this with your hobby vehicle? Call today!
