For sale in our Chicago showroom is this very Custom 1969 Chevrolet C30. Originally used as a Fire truck, this cab has traveled less than 10,000 miles since new. Most people drive more than that in a year! The rust free cab was liberated from its original chassis in an effort to build this custom piece that you see here today. Sitting on a 1980 Chevrolet C30 frame, and titled as such, the road manners are noticeable better than the original chassis. a 5.7l small block Chevrolet engine and backed by a TH-400 transmission, there is plenty of power to move this mosnter at highway speeds without so much as a hiccup.
The interior is virtually unchanged from factory with a few subtle liberties taken. Originally having been a manual transmission, the shifter is a custom piece made by the seller of the vehicle connected to the 3-speed auto. The cab lights, as well as the flashers mounted on the cowl are still fully functional and work great for parades or private events. The entire rear cab has been dressed up with custom pieces giving a rat rod or steam punk feel. The whole vehicle is covered in a coat of “Fire Engine Red†paint with much of the original gold leaf left on the vehicle.
This is a rare opportunity to own such a low mileage custom vehicle. Options include: Hub Caps, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires.
