This is a very clean and very original 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 with a factory 4 speed and 2- 4 barrel carburetors. This California is clean straight and runs great. it has been adult owned and very well cared for and maintained! This Impala was personally owned by Reggie Jackson and was part of his collection with documentation (title copy) to prove it. Engine built by Jack Gibbs 409 Performance Center Willis California. Engine puts out 390 hp. at the flywheel and 289 hp at 5000 rpm at the rear wheels. It has Dual AFB Carter 4 barrels and an Isky Z 11 cam (.566 lift) and Solid lifters with Scorpion roller rockers. The engine is Bored 60 over and is balanced & blueprinted. Custom header by Doug's Headers. MSD ignition. Borg Warner Super T 10 4 speed trans. with Hurst shifter. Upgraded with Willwood disc brakes all around the car. Boyd Coddington Smoothie wheels but also comes with the original narrow white wall tires and wheels and factory spinner hubcaps. The car has Flowmaster mufflers with dump pipes. The car also comes with receipts shop manual and a build book as well. This car shows overall above average very nicely but there are a couple of small things to disclose- there's a 2 inch scratch that has been painted over (colored in) in front of the left rear tire. The windshield wiper motor needs to be replaced. The radio works but not great. The speedometer works but the reading is not fully accurate.
