Up for sale in our Houston showroom is a 1964 Chevelle Malibu SS Convertible. You will have to glance twice to see if it’s the same car John Travolta drove in the classic movie Pulp Fiction. In 1964 with a four-barrel carburetor and 10.5:1 compression, Malubu SS cars could easily hold their own against 289 Ford Fairlane and 273 Plymouth Barracudas. The Chevelle Super Sport, or SS represented Chevrolet's entry into the muscle car battle. Early 1964 and 1965 Chevelles had a Malibu SS badge on the rear quarter panel. The power train on this beauty is a 327 V8 with a two speed power glide automatic. This engine has an aluminum intake and headers breathing through a custom dual exhaust setup with chrome tips. The exterior is a period correct red with a white convertible top. The interior is a red and white combination on a vinyl interior with red carpet. This car is actually a convertible you can put passengers in the back comfortably. The bumpers are chrome and are in excellent condition. On all four corners you will find the period correct original SS wheel covers and sporty white raised letter tires.
