The very low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car. but also the clear Ohio title. pictured below. that states the mileage as "Actual. quot; as well as the extensive documentation that accompanies the car. Please peruse all of the photos. numbers. video. and information below to get a true sense of clean and nice this Camaro Type LT really is. Thankfully and as stated above the previous owners of this car were very meticulous and kept detailed and copious service and maintenance records dating back to 1974. This is not only a benefit because of the information it provides about the service history of the car and a great representation of good and careful ownership over the years. but also a great benefit to the verification of the very low original mileage. The oil was changed 13 times from 8. 00 miles to 36. 00 miles at an average of every 2. 53 miles. As a side note. this Camaro is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. This means that all of the parts were made and assembled in the correct order. For example. all of the dates for the individual engine components and the engine casting date should obviously precede the assembly date of the engine because the parts had to be produced before they could be assembled. All of the parts I checked follow this rule and are dated correctly. item number description VIN 1S87K3N146992 The first digit. "1. quot; indicated the Chevrolet division of GM. The "S" is the model level. correct for Type LT. The "87" is the body style. 2-door sport coupe. The fifth digit is the engine. K. correct for an 350ci car. The sixth digit. The exterior and paint appears to be mostly original and in great preserved condition. The way this car shows is a testament to the care this car has received over 42 years of pampered ownership. As one can see in the photos. the paint has an awesome gloss. nice shine. and smooth finish. Both doors open and shut nicely and the car exhibits good body panel fit overall. The original black vinyl top looks spectacular. The bumpers. trim. chrome. and other bright work in amazing condition with no pitting. cloudiness. or dents. The factory original spot welds are still visible in the wheel wells and pictured below. Often Camaro's will have particularly chipped up front ends; this car does not. The factory Rally wheels are in excellent original condition with no curb rash and have a great finish. The tires are BF Goodrich and sized at 235/60/14. All of the weather stripping is very good well preserved condition and is not dry or brittle. There are some very small chips that have been touched up and tiny door dings with specific photos below and some other faint imperfections that were to small to show up in the photos. but nothing that is really noticeable from about five away. The trunk is complete and looks virtually new and fully detailed with spare tire. jack. base. and original trunk mat. Even the cardboard speaker insulation box in the trunk is in amazing condition and pictured below. The original cardboard is very fragile and it's very rare to even see them still with a car. let alone in this pristine shape. Often times people repaint trunks to cover other problems. in that same photo please note that the fantastic condition of the factory original red oxide primer finish on the inside sheet metal. The Camaro looks just as good in person as it does in the photos. Interior The original Black Type LT interior of the Camaro looks utterly splendid and nearly factory new. The original seat covers look just as good in person as they do in the photos. they are not faded in any area. and have no seam splits or stress cracks. The carpet is also in "like new" condition with no major stains. rips. or holes. The original dash and components look amazing with no cracks. splits. or sun fading; frankly it's the best bezel. radio. glove box. and gauge cluster we have ever seen in person. The gauge faces still look crisp and the lenses are crystal clear and not scratched up. The original AM/FM radio still gets great reception as one can see in the video below. All interior lights and gauges work with the obvious exception of the clock. Even the under hood engine light works as does the inside trunk light. The original door panels look excellent with no cracks or splits. and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great shape with no holes or stains and no sagging. Even the original rubber floor mats are still with the car. the front passenger mat has tear. but as one can see in the photos it is not very noticeable. The shoulder belt mounts and covers on the ceiling are still in tact. complete. and in excellent condition. The original package tray and speaker grill looks great with no warping. fading. or sun damage. This is one of the best original interiors we have ever seen in person and is a true study of how these cars looked from the factory. There is no aroma of cigarettes. Both front seat belts operate well and retract correctly. which is a very common problem on GM cars from this era and a small detail many buyers do not check. These Camaro interiors are not known to wear well and the excellent condition of this original interior is a huge testament to the painstaking care and attention this car has received throughout its life by its previous owners. The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos. Mechanical This Camaro Type LT is in excellent mechanical condition and it is ready to be driven and enjoyed. Very Importantly the original numbers matching engine still resides under the hood and is in great running condition with less than 49. 70 miles on the odometer. please look at the close up picture below of the correct VIN stamp on the engine block and transmission. In the video below one can see the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70 mph. braking to stoplight. accelerating away. and going through some curves. Please note that it shifts properly. there are no strange vibrations. and the car performs fantastic overall. This Camaro is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. especially with the F41 high performance suspension. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time. idles well. and runs excellent. The brakes do not pull and even the emergency brake works as it should. The exhaust system has been upgraded to dual mufflers and looks to be the only deviation from stock in the entire driveline. Also. the engine compartment is beautifully clean. detailed. and original as one can see in the photos. Even all of the small vacuum lines in the engine compartment are routed correctly and still feature the correct and original colored striped and coding. The horn works as do all the interior and exterior lights. wipers. blower for the heater on all speeds. and both turn signal indictors. The speedometer. tachometer. odometer. temperature. fuel. and amp gauges all work as they should. This Camaro has lots of power and handles amazingly. Not enough can be said as to how much of a real pleasure and delight it is to drive this car. Overall Condition Overall. this 1973 Camaro Type LT Survivor is in awesome condition. It is a great value and we have it priced to sell. We do not normally talk-up the cars as much as we have with this Camaro. but it is truly one of the nicest F-Body's we have seen. The. rarity. originality. extensive documentation. beautiful and desirable color combination. and the great extent to which the numbers match make this Camaro especially important and extremely hard to duplicate.
