Seatbelts-Rear SELLER REMARKS Reasonably priced early Camaros are getting harder and harder to find all the time. Fortunately. we've discovered this very nicely done '67 Camaro hardtop with recent paint. a great-running small block. and a beautifully finished interior. all for a very reasonable price. This is a car that's welcome and admired at any local cruise night or car show. and that you can drive with confidence whenever the sun is out. Originally Sierra Fawn Metallic (kind of a non-committal beige). this beautiful coupe now sports a coat of Corvette Anniversary Ruby Red. a finish that might be a relative of Madiera Maroon. With good panel work. the car shows very well. and the metallic finish gives it a depth that enhances the Camaro's shape. We really like the low-key look. which does without a cowl induction hood and front spoiler. so it has a clean. uncluttered look. although it's hard to resist a Camaro with a ducktail spoiler on the tail. The paint is recent and has a great shine. and as is typical with modern urethanes. a professional cut and buff would make it exceptional. We also like that they didn't bother making it up into a fake SS. so the blacked-out grille has a sinister look and the clean. plain rear end is ideal for a car that might even be considered a sleeper. Clean and simple. that's what we like. You can't go wrong with basic black inside a Camaro. and it's done very accurately without major upgrades. Almost everything has been freshened. from the reproduction seat covers to the new carpets on the floors to the crisply rendered door panels. The gauges cover only the basics but they appear to be in original condition under a newer dash pad. and the usual trio of auxiliary dials has been added under the center stack. A console is a welcome addition and houses the shifter for the unusual 3-speed manual transmission. An AM/FM/cassette stereo has been retrofitted in the stock location. and it's a big improvement over the original 2 watt AM unit and yes. this car has factory A/C whose system is complete but not hooked up. The trunk is reasonably tidy and features an ancient stereo amplifier and a full-sized spare. Under the hood you'll find a freshly built 350 cubic inch V8 with a lot of polished aluminum and other dress-up parts. The block offers 4-bolt mains. a steel crank. "pink" rods. and a set of Keith Black pistons. so you know it's built to party. Up top. there's a big Holley 4-barrel carburetor atop an Edelbrock aluminum intake. topped by a chrome air cleaner and a big Comp Cams camshaft handles the roller rockers. There's a lot of horsepower here and it's fully sorted. so it doesn't get cranky and never threatens to overheat. so go have some fun. It's backed by a stock 3-speed driving a rugged 10-bolt rear that hangs on a set of stock leaf springs. Long-tube headers and a Flowmaster exhaust system provide a thrilling soundtrack and it rolls on recent Cragar mags wearing 215/70/14 Firestone radials. With a growling V8 under the hood. this one runs extremely well. it's got some nice options. and there isn't anyone who doesn't love the way an early Camaro looks. This is one of those cars that just couldn't be duplicated for the asking price.
