THIS CAR IS AS CLOSE TO RUST FREE AS YOU WILL EVER FIND IN A 46 YEAR OLD CAR. 1969 CHEVELLE SS 396, SUPER SOLID RESTORATION PROJECT. EXCELLENT RUNNING 396, REBUILT TURBO 400 AUTOMATIC, POWER STEERING, POWER DISC BRAKES, FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING, BUCKET SEATS, CENTER CONSOLE, 12 BOLT POSI REAR, EXCELLENT FLOORS, TRUNK, FIREWALL, FRAME, SHEET METAL. CAR IS IN PRIMER AND NEEDS FINISHING. I BOUGHT THE CAR AS A ROLLER WITH NO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION BUT I HAVE WAY TOO MANY PROJECTS AND HAVE TO THIN OUT THE HERD. I INSTALLED A GOOD USED 396 THAT RUNS EXCELLENT AND A REBUILT TURBO 400 TO MAKE IT PARKING LOT DRIVE. THE CAR HAS GREAT FACTORY OPTIONS AND I HAVE NO HISTORY ON THE CAR. I CAN'T PROVE THAT IT IS A SUPER SPORT BECAUSE THERE ARE NO NUMBERS THAT INDICATE IT BEYOND ALL DOUBT.IT IS A FLOOR SHIFT CAR WITH CENTER CONSOLE AND BUCKET SEATS. THE A/C COMPRESSOR IS MISSING AND THE CAR NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED. THE CAR IS IN PRIMER AND NEEDS INTERIOR REPLACED, HEADLINER ETC. IT ALSO NEEDS EXHAUST AND IT HAS FACTORY CAST IRON EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. THE HOOD IS A NEW REPRODUCTION WITH NEW LOUVERS. IT WAS ORIGINALLY A VINYL TOP CAR AND THERE IS SOME MINOR RUST AT THE EDGE WHERE THE VINYL MEETS THE QUARTER PANEL. IT IS NOT RUSTED THROUGH.

MOST CHEVELLE COLLECTORS ALREADY KNOW THIS BUT CHEVROLET STOPPED ASSIGNING A SPECIAL MODEL / SERIAL NUMBER TO SUPER SPORTS IN 1968. IN 1969 SUPER SPORT BECAME AN OPTION AND NO LONGER WAS ASSIGNED A DESIGNATED NUMBER. SAME THING IN 1970 AND OTHER YEARS. I DO NOT HAVE A BUILD SHEET OR DOCUMENTATION ON THIS CAR TO PROVE WHAT IT WAS WHEN IT LEFT THE FACTORY. THANKS, Steve.
