Description

Up for auction is one beautiful, body off restored, 1964 Impala Super Sport 2 door Sport Coupe that is ready to get in and drive anywhere. It is one of the most dependable classic cars I have ever owned. I am selling it as I have quite a few muscle cars, but absolutely have run out of room to store them all. (Check back later as I am going to list my 67 Camaro, 67 Chevelle SS, and 1970 GTO Judge clone). This car was professionally body off restored 5 years ago, completely gone thru, and any bad parts replaced or rebuilt. It has since been stored inside, only driven close to 2500 miles since. No expense was spared restoring this car. The body was removed, the rust free frame was blasted and powder coated, entire floor and trunk pans were installed, and was done so well it's impossible to tell they were changed. Almost every nut and bolt was replaced. A front disc brake conversion, with new power brake booster gives it braking like a new car. It has a replacement 350 engine, professionally rebuilt with the best and most expensive parts, which is now considered a 355 cubic inch engine that makes this car run much better than when it came off the the showroom floor. It has a 750 cfm Edelbrock automatic choke carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and Edelbrock aluminum valve covers. All hoses are stainless wire braided and still like new. The engine is mated to the original, rebuilt, Muncie M-21 four speed. The engine has custom Hedman headers, and new stainless steel dual exhaust all the way back. All joints were welded, so no clamps were used for a care free exhaust system that will last forever. The exhaust exits behind the rear wheels, for an incredible nice rumble. It has the original posi rear end, with I was told had 3:73 gears by the mechanic who rebuilt it. I don't drive my cars hard, but mostly have them to attend car shows. But I have ran this Impala through the gears a couple times, and I must say it is quite quick. It actually runs and drives as good as it possibly could. It never misses a beat, never overheats, drives and handles perfectly, has no odd noises anywhere, doesn't leak any fluids, and is mechanically perfect. It also has an Accel electronic ignition for trouble free tuning. It has power steering and brakes, making it an easy car to drive for anyone. Has 6 inch slotted mags on front and 8 inch on back, with some very meaty rear tires for good traction when you decide to really get into the car. The tires were new when restored, and still have no dry rot or cracking. I would say they have 85 percent of the tread left, so should last a good long time. NOW FOR THE REST OF THE CAR: I've tried to convey the mechanical condition of the car, which is as good as it gets. The car was basically a rust free example before restoration began, but I'll try to convey the cosmedics of this beauty. The paint is Ermine white, base coat/clear coat. It was professionally applied 5 years ago also. It may not be concourse quality, but it's as near perfect as one could ask for, with not a thin spot nor run anywhere. It may benefit from a deep buffing, but it shines nicely, and is almost impossible to find even a hairline scratch on this car. This car is all steel. There is no body filler to be found anywhere. The car is straight as an arrow, and not a dent anywhere. The doors and windows line up nicely and open and shut like new. All glass is perfect except there is some hazing on the front passenger window, and the top chrome trim (on the glass) has some pitting. Not sure why this is the only bad spot on the car, but I want it know that to be perfect, you may need to replace this window. There may be a way to buff it out, but I don't know how. the rest of the body, glass, and chrome are in nice shape. The interior of this car is beautiful. The white, real leather seats, have been recovered when the restoration was done. The chrome trim on the seats really set this car off. There is one very small tear in the side of the drivers seat, about 1 inch long, that is hardly noticeable, but would be an easy fix. It also has a new, heavy duty matching white headliner, professionally installed. The door panels were also redone in white leather. The green dash, lower console, and original green accents have not been touched. They were nice enough to leave alone. The green carpet was changed, and has very slight wear. All the door jams were repainted, and in great shape. Even the underside of the hood and trunk were not nicely painted, with no flaws. The trunk looks almost new. The engine bay is very nicely done, and you will be proud to display this car with the hood open at car shows. It has all new inner fenders, nicely painted gloss black. All wiring was professionally done, and looks better than original. I could go on and on about this car, but I think you get the idea. This is one sweet 64 Super Sport Impala, with modern drivability. I haven't seen a nicer one at any of our local car shows. This one will make any Chevy fan proud. I just remembered, I just put a new stereo/CD player in the dash (perfect fit) but I haven't hooked it up yet. I just took it out of the box and stuck it in the original radio slot. I will have it wired up and working if I find time before the end of auction. Also, this car came with the original dual antennas, which are complete with the cable and plug ins. I just don't have them hooked up. I have a very fair reserve on this car. I'm not trying to make a lot of money, but rather make some room in my shop. I have sold hundreds of motorcycles and cars on ebay and off ebay for the last 25 years, so I have lots of references, from the U.S. England, Australia, even Norway. So buy with confidence, and I will supply references if asked. As for payment, I do not use pay pal, but accept bank to bank wire transfers, bank cashiers checks, or cash if you are picking the car up yourself. I can have the car shipped right to your door, anywhere in the United States very reasonably. I have several professional drivers I use, all insured. If you are overseas, I can have it delivered to the port of your choice, but you will be responsible for all costs to your country. I have a clear Ohio title, with all matching numbers. I will not release the car or title until all payments have cleared my bank. No personal checks, period. I have gotten burned one time, and that will be the last time. Please email me with any questions or offers. And remember to check back often, as I will list the other cars as time permits. I like vintage motorcycles, so don't be afraid to ask! I'm very easy to work with. Thank you for looking, and may God bless. Richard, at Motorcycle Missions of America P.S. MANY more pictures on request, just ask. Thanks
