Description

For sale is the pictured 1972 Blazer K5. I bought this locally here in Tucson about 1 month ago but I believe the vehicle was originally titled in New Mexico. Minor rust issues like the drivers side rocker panel and a small hole in the floor on the passenger side (probably from a leaking heater core). All the body panels appear original and are definitely repairable if you know how to do body work. The engine appears to be stock with the exception of an Edelbrock intake manifold 4 barrel carb and air cleaner. Engine runs strong with no smoke but it is leaking oil from the oil pan. The trans is the stock SM465 Muncie 4 speed with the attached NP205 transfer case. Trans shifts smooth and the clutch works as it should. Both the trans and transfer case are leaking oil probably from dried out seals. The front hubs lock and the transfer case works as it should. I recently installed a new rear differential an Auburn truck 12 bolt posi with Richmond 3.73 gears (cost me $700 !!). The front Dana 44 diff still has the stock 3.08 gears in it so the next owner will need to change the gears before using the 4 wheel drive. Tires are 33 in off road tires that look almost new. Truck has a 4 inch lift but needs new shocks. Power steering and power disc brakes work as they should. The biggest issue I have with this truck is what I am about to describe to you. When I purchased the truck it didn't have the fiberglass top on it. I recently purchased a top here locally but when I installed it noticed that the top of the windshield frame was bent which prevents the top from sealing properly. It appears to me that the previous owner had the top off the truck and was backing up and struck some type of overhang (just my theory). It is definitely repairable but it will take a body man with more skill than I have. Look at the attached photos or call me if you have more questions. The fiberglass top is the stronger single wall design and has some cracking but is in good shape overall. It does have an aftermarket sunroof in it (which is kinda cool to me) but could be removed and repaired. The fiberglass tailgate is in rough shape but is also repairable by someone who knows how to repair fiberglass.I have about $6000 into this project right now. I know this truck will be worth some good money when it's done but it needs a lot of work at this point. Please ask questions before bidding. My number is 520 403-6412. I require $500 paypal deposit within 24 hours from the winner and the balance within 7 days. Vehicle needs to be picked up no later than June 10th. Thanks for looking!
