1967 Chevrolet Impala

Vintage A/C Climate Control 4-Wheel Disc Brakes 454 CID Chevy Big-Block 4-Speed Manual w/ Hurst Shifter Boss Wheels Very Clean Interior

MotoeXotica is pleased to announce our latest addition a 1967 Chevy Impala Fastback. Totally redesigned in 1965 the Impala set an all-time industry annual sales record of more than 1 million units in the U.S. All new to the fourth generation Impala was Chevy’s use of their “X” frame for a full-width perimeter frame and was placed on top a new body. This generation featured a curved frameless side glass sharper angled windshield with newly reshaped vent windows; specifically the 67’ models were much more understated than other models. The 1967 model was redesigned with enhanced Coke bottle styling. The curves were the most pronounced with the 1967-68 models. In keeping with federal regulations safety features were built into Impalas during the 1967 and 1968 model years including a fully collapsible energy-absorbing steering column side marker lights and shoulder belts for closed models.

This particular ’67 Impala Sports Coupe has been tastefully upgraded to enhance the body lines and drivability. Painted in stunning candy apple red this Chevy shows extremely well and is sure to grab everyone’s attention. The newer repaint is in very good condition with only minor imperfections from normal road use. Both chrome front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition showing no signs of age or corrosion. Since 67’ the exterior dressing was much understated very little chrome was used; however the chrome used on the badges grille and window trim are in fantastic condition. All of the body panels are sharp and have very minor imperfections. Also the glass is in great shape with no cracks or chips to be found.

Taking a step inside this Impala the previous owners did an excellent job keeping the interior as original as possible but adding modern creature comforts that make driving enjoyable. Both front bucket seats are covered in black vinyl and show very little signs of use. The rear bench seat is also in this same condition. The perforated black headliner and black carpet appear to be newer and are in excellent condition as is the case with the entire interior. A Hurst white “cue ball” shifter adds the perfect amount of contrast in the mostly black interior. Original gauges and controls are still in place in the dashboard as well as the original thin wood style steering wheel there is a very small crack in the steering wheel. To make the car more pleasant to drive during summer and in general a Vintage Air system has been installed. Also newer style oil pressure volt meter and water temperature gauges have been added to ensure the engine is staying within the tolerances to normal running requirements. Finally a newer Alpine head unit has been paired with Infinity speakers to provide passengers with much nice sound quality.

Fitted with a very well built 454 CID big block Chevrolet V8 this Impala has all the grunt and big block exhaust note one could ask for. The engine makes plenty of power down-low boasting a more aggressive cam-shaft a newer aluminum intake manifold has been added along with a Holly carburetor retrofitted with MSD ignition. Both provide much greater reliability for driving and starting. Mated to the big-block is a 4-speed manual transmission with a desirable Hurst shifter which clicks in-and-out of gears very well. Chevrolet introduced revised front coil-spring suspension geometry for their 67’ model year and this Impala still retains the same style of suspension. All four corners have disc brakes which help slow down this Impala’s massive power output with confidence. Newer torque-thrust style Boss wheels in gunmetal are mounted on the car with lower profile tires paired with them; the tires show very little wear and have 90%+ tread left.

What are you waiting for? This 1967 Impala is extremely sharp and boasts a host of very well executed resto-mod type upgrades making for a much improved and exhilarating driving experience. It is ready for long cruises to a favorite memory or to display in any car show! GET OUT AND DRIVE!
