Up for sale we have a 1960 Chevy Impala. In ’60 the fins were bigger than ever and it was the last year for them. Not a lot of changes were made from the ’59. They did have different tail lights and a new stainless package. The one we have is a rock solid car that was done well with good paint and a lot of new on the inside. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior interior and heartbeat of the Chevy but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned operated and own our entire inventory no consignments and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information pictures or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of Impala. Down the sides it’s straight as an arrow with good fit of the panels. Everything is covered in the Roman Red that is accented by the White Top and white inlay in the side stainless. The paint has a deep rich shine that shows well. At the time of the repaint it looks to have had new bumpers as well other new trim installed. The stainless lines up good and looks good for the age with only a few spots. The glass all appears to be factory and is in good shape. When you look at the weather stripping it appears to have been replaced when the Impala was painted. Finally the wheel and tire package is 18” and 20” American Racing with new tires.
Next we will take a look at the interior of the ’60. On the inside it looks great with the correct bench seats. They are done in the new factory red and white vinyl with cloth inserts. Also it has new door panels that are done the same. The Carpet as well as the dash is done in red and the headliner is done in white. All the stainless trim looks good and the dash looks correct with only the Mark IV Under dash AC unit being added.
Finally we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it looks as it would have in ’60. The 283 engine is painted orange with stock valve covers and intake. I t has the factory 4 barrel carb and add on A/C. The trans is a Power Glide that is mated to the stock rear end. This Impala has factory Power Steering and Power Brakes. Under the hood is clean and neat with the fire wall being painted body color. The inner fenders and radiator support are painted black. The floors and frame are solid with no issues that we can see.
