This is a beautiful 1970 Chevy C20 3/4 Ton Pick-Up Truck. It runs strong & is ready to drive from Los Angeles to NYC tomorrow! It was owned by our dear friend who has passed on.He was the 2nd owner and now his daughter is selling it.He was an aircraft mechanic & purchased it from the original owner in 1973.He & his wife (also deceased) were very fond of this truck and took great care of it.IT WAS ALWAYS GARAGED!THIS TRUCK NEVER SPENT A NIGHT OUTSIDE EXCEPT DURING CAMPING TRIPS.There's no evidence of rust except where you see a few scrapes/scratches on the side.It was their baby and it never gave them problems. He was a consummate detail oriented individual and always garaged this truck.Since the owner is deceased we've pieced together as much as possible through documentation & stories he told his daughter & grandchildren. We believe it's called a "Camper Special" but not certain. The side of the truck says "Custom /20" behind the front wheels. There is an electronic trailer brake mounted on the left side under the dash.He would haul an aluminum boat on the rack above the camper shell. The upside down boat would roll when loaded/unloaded on the rack above the camper shell..2 aircraft pilot seats were bolted inside the camper shell with seatbelts. The camper area as well as the cab has a mounted fire extinguisher.Documentation shows it had the following mileage:1/1993 = 1210898/1995 = 1261388/1996 = 13517512/1996 = 13676712/2005 = 1395491/2006 = 1399263/2006 = 1407943/2006 = 1411332/2007 = 1418044/2015 = 144254As you can see it's been driven about 5000 miles in the last 10 years! To prepare the truck for sale a long trusted mechanic performed $1300 in maintenance.Work performed included.Remanufactured carbuertorNew hosesNew fuel lineNew fuel pumpNew water pumpNew spark plugsNew vacuum lineNew lined curtains installed in camperNew carpet w/padding installed in camperThe placard on the inside of the drivers side door states:GVW: As Manufactured = 6200; MAX Capability= 7500MAX Front End Weight at Ground: As Manufactured = 2700; MAX Capability = 2700MAX Rear End Weight at Ground = 3980; MAX Capability = 5500Both cab "wing" windows have "wing locks" on them to prevent opening from exterior. The original stock tailgate & rear window are included & are currently inside the camper. It has a plastic lined auxiliary fuel tank by Gem Tank of Clackamas OregonThe fuel switch between Main & Auxiliary Tank is on the left side of drivers seat.It has a built in closet in the camper that is used for a heavy duty tow sway bar system. It has a spare tire that is bald but holds air.The current tires are Delta 7:50 - 16LT & are usable but will need replacing sooner than later.I noticed the writing underneath the hood & the uninstalled hood emblem (we have it!) & Chevy Genuine Parts sticker on drivers side front fender. This leads me to believe that those 2 pieces may have been replaced at some point but we're unsure.None of the family members recall any body parts being replaced.I believe the closet in the back holds both the original bracket to hold the spare tire under the truckas well as a heavy duty Weight Distribution System for pulling a trailer. The fan is not working. It could be the fuse.It starts right up sounds very healthy & runs wonderfully! It's located about 36 miles south of LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) & is available to see for only very very serious buyers. It's being sold as-is but we have utmost confidence that it can be driven to NYC tomorrow! Here is the VIN # Code Meaning:C = 4x2 (Chassis Designation)E = V8 Gas (Engine Designation)2 = 3/4 Ton (GVW Range)4 = Pickup with Cab and Bed (Model Code)0 = 1970 (Model Year)Z = Fremont (Assembly Plant)Here is the SPID (Service Parts Identification) decoded. The SPID is the Model # located on the Glove Compartment sticker:SPID = CE20934C = 4x2 (Chassis Designation)E = V8 Gas (Engine Designation)2 = 3/4 Ton (GVW Range)09 = 54" - 59" (Cab to Axle Dimension)34 = Fleetside Pickup (Body & Brake Code)Below are 122 Pictures! Please review them carefully & then ask questions.I check e-mail daily before/after work. The reserve was set based on recent sales of similar Chevy C20 Trucks.Resources included eBay Hemmings & various Chevy blogs & forums. The reserve is private. Please save yourself from asking what it is.I will not ship the truck but I can deliver it anywhere in Los Angeles Country & drop it off at your shipping company.Another option is a "fly & drive" where you fly to LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) and drive it home!If you do that it's possible I could meet you at the airport & drive you to the truck. You will NOT be disappointed in this truck! We took 122 pix to give you the confidence that this will be a wonderful truck for you as it has been for him for 43+ years! This is a difficult item to sell for the family as it was significant part of their Dad's character but it's time to move it on.Thank you for reading & being a part of their closure!

Over the weekend we learned 2 things about the truck!1) Moving the fan switch up/down got the contacts working again & the fan & air conditioning now work!2) We found the "hidden" latches that unlock the entire rear door of the camper shell! It's running great & sounds powerful! Thanks for looking!
