Here we have a 1968 Camaro Z-28. This is a beautiful real Z-28 is not a clone. The originality dates back to 1969 when the former family in Landsdale PA. grew up with this car. It has all the correct Z items it should like the special front brake calipers 6000 rpm.red linetic toc tach 302 engine special steering box and arm special brake proportioning valve 12 bolt multi leaf rear and so on. The restoration started about 8 years ago when the car was repainted the original British green. The base /clear paint is very nice and is better than driver quality. It Is has some age some small imperfections but no dents or major scratches. Over the last two years the Camaro went through a major mechanical/cosmetic rebuild from bumper to bumper. Over $15000 was spent in the last two years alone! The 302 engine does not have the original short block. A service replacement (CE) block replaced the original in 1969. casting # 3914678 I will post pictures of the original head numbers and 302 crank numbers. It does have the correct GM solid lifter cam. The Muncy M-21 transmission has been completely rebuilt and has a new clutch in front of it. The 12 bolt posi rear is fresh from end to end. New 3.73 gears bearings axles drums brakes etc. All the front and rear suspension components have been either rebuilt or replaced. Lets talk about the interior. Everything has just been redone. A new headliner dash pad seat covers door panels carpet etc. Everything works on this car as it should except for the original tic toc tach that stopped working after reassembly for some reason. This car runs and drives like new. It sounds awesome with the 2-1/2 Flowmaster exhaust. The undercarrage is extremely clean and rust free! A possible trade for a 67-69 Pro Street Camaro might be possible if it is a high quality build. Not a old hacked up race car with a license plate on it... High quality!
