1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS with new 496BBC Big Block Chevrolet motor makes 710 horsepower and 650# torque on pump gas. Comes with Dyno sheets. New ATI Turbo 400 automatic transmission with ATI 10" 4200rpm stall torque converter. Car is a true SS car with original correct Astro blue paint code 25.

Motor/ignition/fuel system:

-New Jenson Racing Engines 496 cubic inch big block Chevrolet 10.5 to 1 compression pump gas motor with 100 easy breakin miles. (http://www.jensensenginetech.com/)

-Motor makes 710 horsepower on pump gas at 6300rpm and 650# torque at 5200rpm(comes with dyno sheets)

-AFR 305 CNC Aluminum heads

-Custom solid roller camshaft for street/strip use gross lift .715 intake and .715 exhaust. Duration at .050 is 264 intake and 272 exhaust. Lobe separation is 110

-New MSD Pro billet distributor and New MSD wires-moroso wire looms all neatly installed to give a clean/show look.

-Hooker Super Competition one piece metallic ceramic coated 2” diameter headers with 3.5” outlet- All 3” stainless steel exhaust with X pipe and Magnaflow polished mufflers-goes over rear axle-tailpipes are included to finish to the rear bumper just like the stock look-this is a professionally done exhaust system that sounds incredible-not too loud but just enough!!

-Headers are ceramic coated for 1200 degrees

-MSD 7AL ignition box mounted inside car under glove box(hidden)

-MSD Pro coil mounted inside next to MSD 7AL (hidden and cannot be seen easily)

-Car normally runs 165-170 degrees and runs 175-180 degrees max on 95+ degree day. Absolutely no cooling issues with this one!

Street/show wheel/tires:

-Brand new Triple Show Chrome Plated Chevelle SS wheels 15” x 7”. These are sweet and easy to take care of Chrome. They have 0 miles on them!!

-Brand new SS 454 Show Chrome center caps(these look awesome and match the front fenders SS454 emblems/color). 0 miles

-Brand new (4) BF Goodrich white lettered radial tires size P245/60/R15. These have 0 miles on them just mounted/balanced(inside wheel balancing only)

Suspension/steering:

-New 90/10 front drag shocks in front with stock back shocks

-New Moroso trick coil springs in front

-All New Hotchkins front end Upper and lower control arms

-New Hotchkins powder coated front sway bar

-Car has a manual-quick ratio steering gear box that steers very nicely(car can swapped/converted to power steering no problem)

Brakes:

-Factory GM front Calipers/rotors/disk brakes with new pads

-Wilwood rear disk brakes/calipers/brake lines

-New Wilwood master cylinder.

-All new stainless steel brake lines on the car all professionally done

-car has manual brakes but stops very nice-smoothly-no issues at all stopping

Exhaust:

-Hooker Super Comp one piece metallic ceramic coated header 2” with 3” exit-collector-very nice fitting/clearance. No issues with getting to spark plugs plenty of clearance for steering-suspension!

-All new 3” Stainless steel exhaust from the headers into and X-pipe then into Magnaflow polished mufflers-lots of ground clearance-tucked nice and tight and done right!! Exhaust goes over rear axles. I do have the brand new 3” stainless steel tailpipes that come with the car. These are ready to be slipped on/clamped but I do not have the 3" exhaust tips that will be needed to complete the exhaust to make it stock looking. They tips are $89.95 and these are the best quality that I have seen. They look just like the stock SS tips but only 3" diameter made by Pypes. Interior:

-Beautifully done and new- MUST SEE All redone with new seat covers front and back.

-Center console with stock horseshoe shifter

-Factory original SS dash-dash pad still in great shape-was not placed!

-odometer shows 101637 miles which is believed to be the original miles but not verified however almost everything is new.

-all lights-directionals-turn signals-brake lights-headlights etc working as they should

-heater core/heater hoses not installed/hooked up but can be easily reinstalled-made functional/working

-Original SS gauges

-new inside door panels front and backseat 1/4 rear inside door panels are all brand new

-All new correct color-grain black carpeting installed

-new Fisher sill plates

-all new interior trim

-new window moldings weatherstrip kit installed

-new headliner installed professionally

-Has the original rearview mirror still in nice shape

-New SS 3 spoke steering wheel installed.

-trunk mounted battery mounted on right rear side that can easily be moved to front stock location if desired

Exterior:

-MUST SEE total frame off no expense spared Astro Blue color code 25 w/black SS strips on hood and trunk. Big dollar $$$ professional restoration project. There are not many cars with this high quality paint job! Lots of hours/labor!! This Car is crazy/laser straight with stunning paint/detail!! NO DISAPPOINTMENTS!!

-Hood-trunk-doors-fenders all have beautiful gaps. Nice closing hood/doors/trunk lid.

-paint looks like a mile deep-was all wet sanded-buffered-polished professionally-show ready

-All original GM steel-never rusted-no patch panels etc..

-All original glass(good shape but does has a few minor scratches here and there if you look hard enough)

-brand new front inner fender wells installed

-brand new show quality triple chrome plated front and rear bumpers

-never driven in the rain/always garaged

-new SS-454-hood cowl induction emblems

-all new wheel molding trim/screws

-all new rubber doors seals/weather-stripping/trunk/hood seals etc.

-cowl induction hood flapper will work with vacuum lines hooked up into a vacuum port

This restoration project was started about 10 years ago and the car sat until December 2013 when the project was resumed. Motor was installed in early 2014 and then all the finishing touches misc items were done throughout the remainder of 2014. Many of the final-finishing touches-items-details were just complete these past several months. It's now all done and ready!! There is approx. 100 easy break in miles on it and only nice day weather miles last Fall. Car has always been garaged/covered-this restoration has never seen rain and only dusted/polished/waxed. This car is a true SS not a clone. I do not have a built sheet for it and it is not being sold as a numbers matching/documented SS car. This car is truly in a class of its own with the way it has been restored-built tastefully to please even the most picky-fussy car lovers. This is one of the nicest 1970 Chevelle SS cars that you will come across in this price range. The Astro blue color is one of the best colors in my opinion and everyone comments on how gorgeous the car is and how beautiful the color is. It is the original color(code 25) of the car along with the black interior configuration per the trim tag.. It will get attention wherever you take it-GUARANTEED! With this motor-trans-rearend setup the car will run mid-10 second quarter mile passes at approx. 128-130mph by unbolting the front sway bar and installing a set of slicks. I do not have time slips as it has never been to the dragstrip since being completed as it sits. However I have been around cars and involved in building cars restoring them and drag racing for 30+ years owning NOS pro charged and turbo charged cars so I know what it takes to run 8 910 or 11 second quarter mile times. This car still has endless possibilities if more power is wanted/needed. The motor was built with the best of parts and could be pro charged turbo charged or sprayed with a NOS( nitrous) big shot kit and it would be a total monster. As the car current sits now the car does it all....its all show and go tastefully finished to impress! The pictures do not do this car any justice and the car looks/sounds just amazing in person. This car has a great/smooth ride everything is tight feeling like a new car has a stock appearing stance and has great street/idle quality/driving manners. It is setup to be a very user friendly driver and on pump gas. The first serious buyer that sees/hears the car will buy it I have no doubt.
