Description

You are bidding on a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 2-door hardtop that is a professional custom build by Sterling Classics of Wichita Kansas. This project started with a real solid Chevelle body and frame. The following is a list of details for this custom build:
  • 427 cubic inch engine completely rebuilt balanced and blueprinted using Keith Black pistons Lunati cam ported 502 cylinder heads dual plate intake 780 Holley and coded headers making a very strong engine
  • 700 R4 4-speed overdrive automatic transmission built to withstand high torque 2200 RPM stall converter
  • Completely rebuilt original 12 volt rear axle with new GM Posi Track unit 3.73-1 Richmond gears (new) Yukon axles (new) all new bearings and seals
  • MSD 6AL ignition box distributor and wires
  • Totally rebuilt front suspension using new tubular control arms 11" disc brakes lowering springs KYB shocks Urethane bushings
  • Rear suspension is boxed lower and upper control arms Urethane bushings KYB shocks lowering springs Impala SS rear disc brakes
  • Ice cold air conditioning with new heater core 134 A upgrade Sanden a/c compressor
  • Dash and all electrical units were restored to original condition
  • 3" aluminized exhaust system Flowmaster mufflers Corvette C5 exhaust tips (frenched into rear valance)
  • Body was primed and blocked three times before the black PPG basecoat was applied followed by three coats of PPG Global Glamour clearcoat which was color sanded and buffed to mirror finish
  • Custom built steel hood with functional air induction
  • Custom built front air splitter
  • Custom built rear spoiler
  • Corvette C6 wheels 19" front 20" rear
  • All new weather strip for doors trunk and roof rails
  • Interior completely restored
  • Trunk completely restored
This Chevelle has been tested and tuned and runs extremely good and is extremely fast. All systems perform perfect and it is ready to use. The Chevelle has a clear Kansas title.
