Description
1966 Chevy C10Up for sale today and ready for immediate purchase is this stunning 1966 Chevrolet C10 step-side pickup. At first glance this truck displays its factory rugged design and utility as is did in 1966. Soon the flawless combination of sharp lines smooth curves and a slick black finish result in this exhibition of class and quality. Looking over the truck you can see from its seamless appearance that the restoration performed on this truck was on a level of perfection that goes far beyond the standards of most. The laser straight sheet metal and body lines are enveloped in a deep gloss black finish inside and out. Inspection from underneath proves to be just as meticulous as every piece is clad in a satin black finish or coated on a concourse level. Turn the key and put it in drive you soon forget that you're driving a truck that is nearly 50 years old. The smooth ride and power on demand from its GM performance parts ZZ4 driveline give you the feel of classic muscle while the modern amenity's like the Vintage Air A/C keep you cool and comfortable in any weather. "Perfection" being the driving force behind this reboot the significant sum of time money and man hours end with the production of this award winning show truck. With just a click over 2000 trouble free miles enjoyed this truck is ready to make someone an awesome show cruiser avoid shipping and drive it home anywhere. Opportunities to own a iconic classic truck on this level do not come around often and it could never be duplicated for the selling price so do not wait for a second chance. CHASSISA frame off nut and bolt restoration was performed on this entire truck recently. I use the term recently because this truck is 50 years old and it was just finished just under 2 years ago. As you can see in the pictures (and even more noticeable in person) not one detail has been overlooked. The entire chassis and every part was disassembled sand blasted painted and reassemble using factory grade fasteners and replacement parts. Some upgrades were made using stainless brake fuel lines and fasteners where needed. The suspension and steering have been upgraded with all new hardware bushing bearings etc. Most parts are from CPP & GM then refinished to the same factory appearing satin black. Upon my inspection I soon forgot once again that I was underneath a truck that's 50 years old. Only garage dust and the 2000 miles has settled in on this highly detailed chassis. Although it appears to be a show queen this truck was built to be driven and the owner does just that. When he has the time its been driven to several major shows taking awards at all of them. When its not stealing the show its driven around town a few times a month just for the fun of it.BODYMoving to the body you notice that the flawless "Tuxedo black" couldn't of been a better choice to show off the quality of its restoration. A full recolor inside and out using Matrix/DuPont products only resulted in this immaculate display of finesse. The paint and panel gaps are laser straight and the term smooth as glass has never been more apparent. They are fitted on the level of perfection that only comes from experience patience and skill. With every panel removed stripped and prepped the dexterity of its craftsman truly becomes visible in every segment. The repairs that come with restorations on this level remain undetectable and without any modification to the factory skeleton. When it came time to seal in this work of art every weather-strip window seal felt glass guide and bumpers have been replaced with GM quality parts. After assembly the entire cab was fitted with Hush Mat to ensure a quite and cool comfortable ride. The entire truck was color sanded to a show quality standard and buffed to a impeccable finish showing off the skill and man hours invested. The bed on the truck is light oak it was stained and cleared to appear just as accomplished as the body. This entire restoration was performed by the skilled hands at Murphy Cadillac in Melbourne Florida with over 46 years in automotive service industry.INTERIORThe interior is remarkable A refined approached to the factory styling was all that was need to make this c10 stand out. The "Tuxedo Black" and hints of satin carries through the inside while brick color inserts add some contrast on the door panels. A Vintage Air A/C keeps this truck ice cold in the dead of summer and nice and warm in the winter. A Retro Autosounds Stereo with USB hook up and AM/FM capabilities jams out the tunes through a set of JL Audio 6x5.5 and 6x9s speakers mounted nicely in the kick panel and behind the seat. The factory bench seat has been rejuvenated with black leather and also brick colored inserts adding more contrast to all black appearance. A Billet Specialties steering wheel on the factory column adds some style while you stare beyond it to the highly detailed factory instrument cluster monitoring the vitals. Custom bound black loop carpet and matching floor mats finish it all up while the Hush Mat keeps down the noise and heat.DRIVELINEThe driveline of this truck was made possible also by the crew at Murphy Cadillac. Working hand and hand with GM Performance Parts selecting components that would perform well under any situation with a 60s muscle vibe. With the line up of small block power offered by GM the ZZ4 350/355 crate engine with 700R4 transmission seemed to be the most ideal munition for this classic truck. A few modern upgrades were made including cam swap valve springs pushrods and roller rockers to squeeze just a few more horse power out of the already boasting engine. A few of the normal bolt on extras were added tipping the HP meter to around the 405 range. The engine was installed using the CPP tubular mounting system. With just over 2000 miles you can rest easy knowing this engine performs well on the highway and even better on the back streets of the city. The rear end is a open 12 bolt with a great gear for any driving situation. This truck cruises well at 70 in the low RPM range making it killer to drive at any speeds. I personally put about 70 miles on this truck and was blown away by its performance and ride in both situations. I would not hesitate a minute if I needed to drive across the country in it. below is a list of key features throughout the truck.ENGINEZZ4 GM performance parts crate engineComp cams thumper camshaft seriesRoller rocker'smagnesium pushrodsbeehive springsHooker ceramic coated headersMagnaflow 2.5 stainless bolt in exhaust with x pipe and rear exit.Aluminum Radiator w/dual fansCPP motor mountsChrome dress-upTRANSMISSIONGM performance parts 700R4 4 speed automaticHughes converterLokar shift linkageLokar accelerator pedalWHEELSAmerican Racing Billet wheels17x8Dunlop Sport 275/55/17SUSPENSIONCPP power steering boxCPP 2' drop spindlesCPP disc brakes drilled and slotted3' rear drop springsStainless fuel and brake linesOTHER FEATURESVintage Air A/C and heatClassic Auto-sounds stereoUSB connect and JL audio speakersAluminum Fuel cell mounted under bedHogan's hot rod fender mount gas fillerThis is a completely NEW truck despite its age.
