Description

1967 Chevelle Convertible

Up for auction is a very straight '67 Chevelle Convertible with all original manuals and protect-o-plate. This car has been owned by the same owner for 35 years, ut it has been court-ordered to sell as part of a divorce settlement. With that being said, he work done to this car by the owner was done right because there was no intention of selling. It wasn't slapped together for a quick flip, t was slowly worked on over the years but now it has to go. The car is not 100% finished but all the hard stuff is done and what is left is minor and inexpensive. A few dollars to tidy up the interior and engine bay will pay off greatly with this car and could fetch a huge price with a black body being this mirror straight.

The engine is a freshly rebuilt 350. Bored .0030 over. Has 1.94 heads, olverine "Torquer" cam, delbrock Performer RPM intake and a Holley 650 carb. Runs VERY strong in this configuration. Car has headers with 2.5" exhaust out the back through some flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Has a nice tone but not crazy loud. Transmission is a TH350 rebuild by a reputable shop here in Delaware DelTrans. They put a shift kit in it, ardened sprag, nd additional clutches. Chirps 1st to 2nd without thinking about it. The rear is the factory 10 bolt posi with all new seals and bearings. Car was converted to disc brakes in the front, rums in the back. Power steering and brakes. I think it is worth noting that this car was a 4-speed at one point in its life, o it would not be hard to change it back to manual if desired.

The body. Decoding the cowl tag this was originally a 67 Malibu Convertible, uilt the 4th week of November 1966 and was butternut yellow with a black top and black interior. During restoration the car was stripped to bare metal. A new aftermarket fender was put on the right side and both rear full quarter panels were replaced. The trunk was replaced with the 3 piece aftermarked kit from Ausleys. The inside of the trunk is not finished but would be very easy to finish off. The welded and grinded seams of the trunk floor have been coated in sealer and smeared over with some filler. This would need final sanding, aulk the inner wheel well to floor seams and spray the speckle paint. New trunk rubber comes with the car and would need installed. The floors had two small areas repaired. The convertible top is new. It is a power top but does not work. Was always done manually and never got around to repairing the power. All chrome on the car is new. The windshield chrome is currently off the car but does come with the car. Also included are 3 of the 4 new wheel well chrome trim pieces (4th was eaten by a curious beagle puppy). Painted in PPG basecoat/clearcoat and looks like water, t is a very nice paint job.

The interior of the car was started but needs finishedand wouldtake a whole lot. The carpet is new and console are in nice shape. Door pads are new. The front bucket seats have been reupholsterd but do not have the back panels on them. The bucket seat back panels are included with the car but would need redone or replaced.. Rear seat is redone and very nice. All new gauge cluster, adio, nd glove box trim comes with the car (supersport glovebox trim). The underside of the car is very clean. Has not been gooped with a ton of undercoating to hide things, t is a very honest car. The frame is excellent as are the floors. There are two body mounts not currently installed, hey are the two right behind the rear wheels. There is nothing wrong with the mounting point on the frame or at the body, t just needs new rubbers and bolts. The old ones were removed to do the trunk floor work.

Known issues/blemishes:

Small bubble in paint at the bottom front corner of the left door, t he the left lip of the deck lid by the trim, nd at the front cowl at the bottom of the winshield on left side (all pictured, ll minor). Left side rear quarter glass is scratched in the glass.

Overall this is aVERY solid car with one of the straightest bodies you will see on a black car. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my knowledge but would encourage any interested bidders to come see the car in person.I dont believe you will be disappointed. The car is for sale locally as well and I reserve the right toend this auction at any time. Clean title in hand. Car is also listed on Delaware Craigslist with additional photos if you want to see them go on Delaware Craigslist, ars+trucks, y owner, ype in "67 Chevelle Convertible" in the search bar and it will pop up. Thank you for looking!

In my paragraph about the interior the ad says "needs finished and WOULD take a lot". That is a typo and the ad should read "would NOT take a lot". Sorry about that. I could not go back and change it since bids were already placed. Thanks!
