Description

1966 Corvair Monza

Up for your consideration is a 140 hp 1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza power glide two-door coupe with factory air conditioning! Born in Willow Run but raised in California. (Proof of deliveryto California dealer in original "Buyer Protection Plan" booklet). Original owner's manual. 75k original miles and has spent all its years in this dry climate, ith much of it in storage, o its body and undercarriage are rust free. Just before the vehicle changed hands 8 years ago, quad carb 140 horsepower engine was installed. The new owner became disabled and it went back into storage shortly thereafter. This vehicle shows pride of ownership.

The engine bay is tidy, lean and appears to be well maintained. Engine runs great and freshly serviced. New fuel pump with all rubber fuel line sections replaced. Brakes serviced just before storage, ave lots of pressure, nd work very well. Tire tread looks virtually unused. A/C condenser cooling fan and climate control blowers work. A/C needs charging. Had R12 prior. If you have some available in your area you are ready to go. It can be charged with R134 prior to pickup for a fee.

The interior is in wonderful condition and the chrome sparkles. The carpets look new and the seats are near perfect. Seatbelts front and rear. The headliner would be near flawless except for that above the driver seat (which is odd considering the condition of the interior, ee photo). Dashboard vinyl is in like-new condition with all black crackle paint present on its face. Glove box button in need of replacement. All controls are present and functional.

It was repainted at one point, ut would need freshening prior to entering any show. Body looks good with only a few blemishes which are easily addressable in preparation for paint. The title was salvaged due to a small dent above the passenger rear wheel which was repaired. No damage seen from back side of that fender in the engine bay, o it was certainly small. The owner demanded the full repaint which was over the value of the vehicle at the time. Extensive inspection shows no other damage. One side view mirror went missing in transport, ut are easy to get. No need to paint any jams. In all, his is one of the nicest Corvairs seen in a long time.

This is a rare investment opportunity. Only 2% of Chevrolet’s Corvair line were installed with factory air conditioning and the cabin cooling blue tinted glass. These options are worth a bundle. In some instances, hese A/C and glass have been removed and sold for more than a whole car! If you’ve been looking for a late model Corvair, his is a no-brainer. If you want to have a nearlyall original show car, here isn’t much you need to do. If you want to add your own personality, his is probably one of the best platforms out there for your dream creation.

Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime find! Good Luck! Happy Bidding!
