Description

I began purchasing this Malibu from the original owner in 1987. He purchased it brand new for street racing. One year later (1971) he got married and parked the car. I began reviving it in 1987 while in college full-time. It is my dream car and always has been. I now have a wife and four teenage daughters. So, need to sell my dream to another dreamer. The model is Malibu. I like the trim on the Malibu. Every time someone grinds off the trim, hanges the parking lights, ear bumper and hood in hopes of looking like an SS, he Malibu becomes rarer. I'm her second owner and she's been with me through nine years of college, wenty-one years of marriage, our daughters and multiple moves. I had the body painted while I was in basic training (Army) in 1994. It has been garage kept since 1994. The paint is the original color: Yellow/Gobi Beige. Some additions/upgrades I've made: tilt steering, ront bucket seats, ower steering, ront power disc brakes/power booster, ally rims with beauty rings and center caps, ooper Cobra raised white letter tires (including spare), 50 engine from '87 Camaro Iroc Z, H350 transmission with B&M shift kit, ustom dual exhaust (anti-rust coated with Turbo mufflers and Chevelle tips), lack vinyl interior replaced new from OPG, ccel (yellow) spark plug wires 8mm, dlebrock Performer Intake (painted & clear coated), dlebrock chrome package, row radiator w polished custom overflow tank, ew power steering pump with custom brackets, an (painted in yellow), hrome fan pulley, hrome alternator brackets, hrome master cylinder cover/clamp. I'm sure I'm missing some things, ut you get the idea.

List of body panels replaced before painting and other upgrades:

All of the replacement body panels (both rear quarters, oth rockers, ear valance) and and trim (all wheel wells, oth door handles, oth doors and trunk lock cylinders, ear Chevelle emblem and complete black vinyl interior kit and package tray) were replaced new from Original Parts Group (OPG) in California. A couple years later, replaced the front and rear bumpers from The Bumper Boyz in California. Both marker light assemblies and lenses, ront bucket seats and bench-to-bucket conversion kit were purchased from Obsolete Chevrolet in Nashville, eorgia. The taillight assemblies and lenses, ront and rear anti-sway bars and gas tank were replaced from Ausley’s Chevelle in North Carolina. The polished radiator overflow cylinder was purchased from Ausley’s Chevelle. The Edelbrock (Performer intake, hrome breather lid, hrome valve covers), hrome alternator brackets, hrome fan pulley, isc power brake booster kit with chrome master cylinder cover, ront disc brakes conversion kit and Holley 600 CFM carburetor, ront and rear coil springs, erformance distributor and Accel 8mm yellow wires came from Summit Racing in Atlanta, eorgia. The shocks came from OPG. The custom 2.5" coated exhaust, urbo mufflers and polished steel Chevelle tips was fabricated and installed at Vidalia Muffler in Vidalia, eorgia. The four channel, ver capacity radiator was purchased from Griffin. The stereo and rear speakers came from TG&Y (a company no longer in business). The four Cooper Cobra tires and the Cooper Cobra spare came from Cooper Tire in New Smyrna Beach, lorida. The rally wheels, eauty rings and center caps were purchased in Mt. Vernon, eorgia (Company no longer exists). Basically everything that could not be made correct was replaced with factory correct or better. I never went with knock off or cheap.
