1949 Chevrolet Pickup 6 cyl. 4 speed trans. This is a fairly solid pickup with minimal rust.The floors are solid with no rust in drivers side, o rust in under seat area and a very small hole inpassenger foot area which had patch installed over it some time in past. The passenger cab corner is solid as is the cab back bottom. The drivers cab corner has a couple of small dine size holes in it. Both rockers have a little rust in them toward the cowl area (small areas). The drivers side door is straight and solid on outside with only a little rust on inner panel near bottom. The passenger side is the same. The firewall and cab mounts are solid and not cut up and the cowl is solid also. The hood is solid and straight. The front fenders have a couple of small dents in both of them. This is the 3/4 ton long bed model of truck. The bed sides are solid as is the bed bulkhead panel.The wood bed floor is stilllargely in tact also. The tailgate is homemade or early aftermarket Drivers side rear fender is solid and straight and the passenger side rear fender is only rusted where it meets the running board. The running boards are solid and pretty straight.
The original seat was missing but includes a later (1960- 1966) seat if you want it. The dash is complete and not rusted or cut up and the original steering wheel is in place and fair condition. Also has the original heater still in place. The truck was originally black but was painted bronze over the black but is peeling now in various areas and original black is showing through. All glass needs replaced. The original emblems are with the truck but were removed and are in a parts box. The original fuel tank and filler tubes are with truck and appear to be in good condition
The motor is a later(1955) 6 cylinder with a remanufactured tag installed on block. Previous owner said it runs but needs carb. rebuilt and motor turns over freely by hand. The truck rolls freely but has no brakes.
The truck has a clear Tennessee title and that will be provided with a notarized POA so you can do hassle free transfer in your state.
