You are bidding on a no-reserve, ARE, arn-find, state-sale1983 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 Custom Roadster Convertible. Just pop the top, old the convertible top in the storage area, lose the lid and it transforms into a Convertible Roadster! This Z-28 is in good condition and would make a nice toy for someone since it’s sporting a rebuilt Chevy 350 (not original) motor, erformance Summit hydraulic cam, delbrock Edurashine Dual-Quad intake system and custom exhaust.
The Camaro has 83K miles, ower steering, ower brakes, c, utomatic trans, emote mirror and gray cloth interior. The black convertible top looks to be an AutoForm convertible conversion with a trim package that a car dealership probably put together and called a "stiletto" My thought is that these were bought new, lready converted from the dealership. The conversion was outsourced for the Chevy dealer to a coach builder, ot done by GM.
The car runs and drives even though it has not been driven on the roads for years. It’s basically a cruiser type of hot rod.The red repaint is in nice condition, bout a driver-quality paint job. No major dings or dents to speak of. The convertible top is in good condition and operates as it should. The car runs and drives but needs some TLC from the long storage period.
This little roadster is in great condition and with some minor restoration could be a great little sports car!
The Body is very solid and straight, o major dings or dents and has a fire-engine-red paint job with silver ground effects. The ground effects do show some minor paint issues, rom chips to peeling to scrapes. It’s basically a stored survivor and could be easily restored without the major expenses of rust repair. Glass is in good shape. Weatherstripping is in good-to-fair condition.
The convertible top is in good condition without any damage but it needs a deep cleaning. All of the convertible hardware and snaps are there and it operates as it should. The plastic window is intact but yellowed. All of the locks and hardware to operate it are present and working. The odometer shows 83,000 miles.
The gray cloth Interior is original to the car and is in good to fair condition. The driver seat has wear and alligator-pattern seat covers were installed. Most of the interior needs cleaning and possible replacement of some items. The original carpeting is good and could use a cleaning. Most everything works on the dash but the dash lights and marker lights are not working (fuse most likely). The steering wheel is in good condition with minor aging. The windows operate as they should.
The Drivetrain is a Chevy 350 (‘70s motor) with 1.94 heads that had been rebuilt just prior the owner’s passing a couple of years ago and has less than 1,000 miles on it. Not much is known about the rebuild except for what receipts I found in the car and what the owner’s son remembers. Gasket kit, am (SUM-1103), iming set and complete Edelbrock Endrashine Dual-Carb AVS intake system (this still has a brand-new look). The engine runs strong no noise or smoke but does need some tuning with the carbs. It will drive around fine but should be trailered and all systems gone over before putting it back on the road. The automatic transmission operates and shifts as it should. No problems in the rearend.
The Undercarriage is in good condition with no major rust issues. Floor pans and frame are original and in good condition. New exhaust system was installed with headers (may not be legal to operate on public roads in certain states, lease check your local laws before bidding)
Other info: The car is in pretty much original condition. Car comes with factory keys for doors, gnition and trunk and Owner’s manual.
