Here is your chance at a hell of a great work horse of a SUV. A fully documented 1987 Chevrolet Suburban R20 sporting a 4 speed manual transmission. Being sold with No Reserve. A former Colorado Deptartment of Highways vehicle, lways well maintained and the orange revolving light on top was replaced in 2005 and it still works. I have owned this beauty since October of 2002. When I purchased it there was 137,881 today the odometer shows 143,625. That is 5,739 miles in 13 years or an average of 441 miles per year since 2002. The Suburban has been kept at our second home in Aspen, olorado. It was used about only a few times a year. It is a 2wd and not a 4wd. I never had a problem of slipping around on ice or snow, r just getting plain stuck because I put brand new studded snow tires on the Suburban in the first few days of buying it. The car has had two batteries in 13 years, ith the newest batter being installed in 2011. I also installed a battery kill switch that assists the battery in staying fresh in the event that it has not been started in a while. To the best of my knowledge I am the second owner. The heater & defroster works great. I bought the car off of Ebay Motors in October 2002. I will include a copy of the auction from 2002 as well. The car comes with the original selling documents from Stevinson in Denver in July 1987. It has letters from the state of Colorado Department of Highways regarding procedures and the registration, copy of the original title and letters about the transfer to the Colorado Property Surplus company that is run by the State of Colorado Prison system. In other words I really bought the Suburban from a couple of Colorado's finest convicts. They were very nice and quite thoughtful as they threw in a few other free parts to the car that really didnt belong but I wasnt going to turn down their generoisty with other people's things. Two of the four original hubcaps have simply vanished. The mileage represented on this Suburban is accurate. It does show signs of previous collision damage, hich has been semi-professionally repaired and really doesn't look that great today 13 years later. This is a smoke-free automobile. This has been a garage kept vehicle at times. The engine on this vehicle is running properly. The overall condition of this vehicle's exterior is below average. There is an average amount of wear on the interior on the drivers seat. The headliner does not sag, lthough it does have a few tears. it leaks some water from time to time. The tires on this vehicle appear to have hadly any way wear at all with only 5000 miles on them. This Suburban has been so reliable. It has always started.. everytime, ven in minus 25 degrees after sitting for six months without being started. That would be because in 1986 and 1987, he method of fuel delivery for the engines was switched fromcarburetorstoelectronic fuel injection. The system that GM chose was calledthrottle body injection, r TBI.You will see a picture with the fuel injection emblem on the rear of the Suburban. This vehicle has a pretty smooth shifting transmission, he clutch works well too. My soon to be loss is about to be your gain. When I drive it most people give me thumbs and say cool Suburban, ome other rich stuck up people someimes make a face at me and the car but what the hell do they know. I would feel quite confident in driving this car anywhere in the USA. You would want to replace the snow tires with regular tires before such an endeavor to it's new home. Remember, here is NO AC, he AM radio is inoperable. The steering is perfect-straight as an arrow. The V8 does not burn any oil at all and it does not leak. The plastic windshield washer fluid container sprung a leak 10 years ago which I never bothered to replace. The wipers work fine. It has a front bench seat and a second row bench seat that fold downs. A very comfortable car. Plenty of documentation comes with it to give your new Suburban the proper pedigree that it so richly deserves. Be the envy of your block. When parking is tight I double park and flip the switch on that starts the rotating orange light while I pick up something or when i want a delicious ice cream- it makes parking a breeze. Don't let this car go by you. I bought this Suburban on ebay in 2002. I have the printed auction information and pictures as well Bid early and bid often. No reseve auction!! The car is located in Aspen, olorado and that is where you will need to pick it up within 7 days of the auction ending. A $500 deposit is due immediatley after the auction ends and the balance will be due 3 days after the auction ends. The Suburban is being advertizing locally so it could be sold prior to this aution ending. USE BUY IT NOW if you are ready to jump in and go. See all of the pictures in the auction. Good Luck!!
