1968 marked the introduction of the C-3 or third generation Corvette aka Shark. Although the car was pretty much unchanged underneath from the previous year, he body and interior were all new. Derived from the Mako Shark/Manta Ray show cars of the '60's, he new Shark featured peaked front fenders, "Coke Bottle" shaped center section, "duck tail" rear end and for the first time ever in a Corvette, emovable T-top roof panels and rear windows giving you a true targa-roof experience! The interior featured aircraft inspired gauges, igh back bucket seats and "fiber optic" light monitoring system, hich was borrowed from the show car, s well as the hide-a-way, acuum operated windshield wiper door and headlights!
This beautiful, atching #'s example is an excellent highway cruiser. The car was one of five outstanding Sharks that Mike acquired from a meticulous collector client.
