Mechanical This Chevelle is in to be in very good mechanical condition. We have put about XXX30 miles on the car during our ownership and in that time the car has run great with no issues and has been completely reliable. In the video below one can see the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, hifting thought all the gears, raking to stoplight, ccelerating away, nd going through some curves. Please note that it shifts properly, here are no strange vibrations, nd the car performs quite well overall. The car is an nice driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds for a 50 year old car. The car does not pop out of gear and the clutch feels good. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, dles well, and runs great. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other, lease keep in mind that these are manual drum brakes so they will not feel the same as a modern car. Also, he engine bay is very clean and highly detailed as one can see from the photos. The previous owner did a lot of mechanical work to the car. The suspension has been refreshed with all new springs, ew shocks, ie rod ends. The steering box is brand new. The engine was rebuilt be a speed shop in Northern Kentucky and is very potent with plenty of power; it really runs awesome. The wipers work as do all the exterior lights, indicators, nd blower for the heater on two speeds, he temp control lever feels a bit finicky. The speedometer, odometer, emperature, il pressure, nd fuel gauges all work as they should. The horn does not work and these is an occasional noise from the transmission. This Chevelle features exhaust cutouts. They are a great addition and definitely get you noticed pulling into the cruise in. Their operation can be observed and hear in the video below. This Chevy has massive and not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car.
Overall Condition
Overall, his 1966 Chevelle is in marvelous condition and is a true bargain at our asking price. It is a great value and will only appreciate over time.
