Description

Up for auction is 1 of only 1,919, 971, SS" Monte Carlo's ever produced. This particular SS, s triple black in color, ucket seats, console, actory rally gauges, ower steering/brakes, ir conditioning, power windows and locks, actory am/fm radio with 8-track player. Everything is factory! The drive train consists of a 454 cubic inch (not original, uilt to specs,10-1 compression), 00 turbo, nd 12 bolt posi-traction rear end (3.73 ratio). This car spent it's entire life in the Cleveland area, eing first purchased at Jack Shaw Chevrolet on 11/29/71. I have the original protect-o-plate, nd warranty to prove this. A frame off restoration was completed in 1999, y a very well respected area car enthusiast, ocumentation of his work is included.
This is a "TRUE" "SS", ot a clone. It has the original rear bumper rubber strip, which is indicative of only this year. The load leveler air pump (only an option for 70-71 "SS" Monte Carlo's) is not shown in the pictures, however, do have it (mounting holes are in the inner fender well, o prove it's authenticity). Factory Corvette rally wheels, gain, indicative of a true SS. This car is show quality, op to bottom, ront to back. The pictures DO NOT do this car justice. It runs as good as it looks, he power and response are amazing. Original documented 72K mile car.
