Description

1968 Camaro Base Model CustomFeatures:Engine:383 Stroker Engine (technically a 377) brand new standard bore 350 block built with balanced internals from PAW. Scat crank. LT1 Rods and flat top forged pistons. All new bearings. rod bolts. oil pump. etc. all done right. The top end has Canfield aluminum heads with SS 208 valves. locking rocker nuts. stud girdles and Crane gold rockers. matched springs and hardened pushrods. The cam is a custom grind from Competition Cams solid roller 550 lift and 230 duration at . 50. It has a 650 Demon carb (very under-carbed on purpose. this engine is a beast). Has power steering. Serpentine conversion. MSD. Lokar. Wiand Intake. Moroso 8 Qt Oil pan. aluminum timing chain cover. All high dollar stuff. Less than 5K miles. Body:Custom base coat/clearcoat paint in a deep plum with pearl purple ghost flames. The paint has many nicks and chips from daily use. my kids. wrenches. buttons. zippers. etc. . I get many compliments and draws serious attention at meet and cruises. If you don't like it. you will have to paint it but the bodywork is good. The paint overall is presentable but it does have a few nasty dings that I will picture for you. One is on the right rear quarter and the other is on the left front fender--they show in the pics. The job was very complete with proper bodywork and minimal filler--this car has no rust showing and it was painted over 15 years ago. The door jams. under the hood and trunk. and dash were all prepped and painted at the same time. The floors are all solid. The left rear pan was replaced by straight sheet metal--not the way I would have done it but I never felt the need to put the correct pan in. The other three pans are original and have some surface rust but no holes or weakness. All doors. trunk and hood all open and close as they should. The top is presentable but is older and has some cosmetic issues inside and has a repair that I will picture. I cruise with it down so cosmetics never bothered me. Top functions as it should and is completely manual. the window is clear and waterproof and the well is still in one piece and functional. The side windows do not meet the top perfectly so there is a gap that rain can get in. I stored this care inside so not a problem for me. Please note the glass etching on the rear glass. Drivetrain:The TH 350 Automatic TCI Street Fighter and 3000 Stall is also Street Fighter. This is not a rebuild TCI kit. it was a complete transmission built at TCI. The Rear is a 10 Bolt from a 1967 Camaro with a Auburn Gear Posi unit and 373 Gear. All this stuff has less that 5K miles. The car shifts as it should. downshifts into 1st sometimes hesitates. but that is a shifter cable adjustment that I'm too lazy to fix. Power brakes with a CVR Vacuum pump. Front disk Wildwood brakes. Rear drums. Interior:Upholstery all looks good. it was all redone in classic vinyl. The front seats came from an Eagle Talon and they were recovered to match with custom holes to feed the harness through. if you want to make some passes at the drag strip. Carpet is like new. The roll bar is cosmetic and should not be relied upon for racing or safety--it is welded to sheet metal not the frame. B&M shifter. tach and other gauges. The gas gauge works but I am throwing in the center console which has all gauges built in which will really clean up the gauge situation. Terms of sale:I encourage anyone that is serious to come out and take a look. I have probably been over critical if anything but I would like the buyer to be informed of all negatives. I have owned the car for 20+ years and have kept it indoors over that period. I am willing to e-mail or text any other photos that you would like. I do not have a lift so underneath is not possible. I do have photos of the floors before the peel and stick soundproofing was installed. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to turn down any offers at any time for any reason. Buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs. I am willing to drive the car to a shipper within 50 miles of 33434 Boca Raton Florida. Once an offer is accepted. the buyer will be responsible to give a $500 non refundable deposit within 3 Days. I will keep the car for you up to 2 weeks after final sale if necessary. Please do not come with a bank check after banking hours. Please e-mail any further questions to andyjb44@gmail. com. Thanks and best regards.
