Description

1978 was the 25th anniversary of Corvette. To celebrate, completely remodeled body was rolled out with a new fastback style. The new wrap-around rear window provided much more space behind the seats but it is not a hatchback car. The special anniversary edition included a unique Charcoal Silver/Silver Metallic two-tone paint job for an extra $399 tacked onto the sticker price. Now this is a very special and rare Corvette for the Silver Anniversary, his is a two owner car. This car has never had a repaint nor touch up. Routine maintenance, once a month work out and very good owner has kept this Corvette for sale in amazing shape. Just like the rest of the car the suspension and braking system remains intact with the factory components like the upper and lower A-arms, oil springs, ubular hydraulic shock absorbers and antiroll bar. The rear is the same way. The lateral leaf springs, truts, -joint half shafts, railing arms and tubular hydraulic shock absorbers have not been replaced. The 11.75" 4 wheel power disk brakes still stop this thing on a dime like they should. The factory L-82 engine 185hp 350 C.I.D V8 is stock other than having the water pump changes. The AC system has been upgraded to the current regulations for Freon. The turbo 350 -- 3 Speed automatic transmission shifts amazing smooth, ctually you don't feel it shift at all. It is a very smooth ride. The rear gear has a 3.55 ratio. This is one of finest and examples of the well kept Silver Anniversary Corvette.
