Description

1974 CHEVROLET CAPRICE CLASSIC CONVERTIBLE

454 CI ENGINE

NICE!

In 1974, hevrolet only built 4000 Classics convertibles. The convertible accents the long, ow, eautiful stance of these amazing automobiles. The color of choice was white for convertibles, specially if you wanted the maximum return on your investment. Combine that with a white top and you really had something. This remains true of classic Chevys today. These cars have a wonderful ride smoothing out the roughest of roads. They are very comfortable and offer a wide range of tasteful elegance you look for in a classic car.

Along with comfort, here is plenty of leg, lbow and head room. The Caprice was the uppermost top of the line; tasteful with thick carpeting, high level of sound insulation and elegant appointments throughout. In 1974, hevrolet was number one for 14 years in a row and had the highest resale value of any American car. The same is true today. Considering the purchase price, ou still get the most bang for your buck. These cars represent a solid value.

The car offered here is white with a white top. It is a fully-optioned car with power steering, ower brakes, ower windows, ower seat, ilt wheel, ir conditioning, M/FM radio, 54 CI big block and.... it’s a convertible. Please visit the photo gallery. There are 98 close-ups showing every part of the car. I will describe every part of the car to the best of my ability.

EXTERIOR AND UNDER BODY

This is not a restored car. It has been well maintained and driven regularly in nice weather. Like any machine, hey need to be exercised in order to remain functional. The underside is completely dry and solid. It has never been patched. This includes the trunk floor. Nothing is missing. The exhaust is done right. It offers a wonderful sound, ot too loud, ot too quiet. The car is solid and straight even though it is 42 years old. It looks good even up close.

The white on white shows very well, ust an easy-on-the-eye driving machine. The chrome is good to very good. It is not pitted. The bumpers are straight and show well. I find no rust on the body. The paint has a brilliant shine. The top looks very close to new and it fits nicely. The power top goes up and down properly. The rear glass window looks just like new. The power windows all work; however, he right rear sometimes needs to be guided for a proper fit. The tires and wheels are in good condition. ENGINE AND ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND HANDLING

This Chevy is powered by the world famous 454 motor. The combinations are just right. It is powerful, uiet, mooth, ith no leaks. It fires instantly and never hesitates. There is no smoke - even when starting. It goes through the gears quickly and effortlessly. It goes down the road straight, here is no pull to the left or right and it stops straight. Just touch the gas and you are up to speed in no time. At idle, ou can hear the exhaust, ort of a whisper; a beautiful sound. The engine compartment is all original and very solid. The 454 rests there nicely ready for action. There are chrome valve covers and is the only thing I find that may not be original, ut they do offer a nice look.

INTERIOR

The seats are very comfortable, ell-padded and in very good condition. There are no tears or sags. The power seat works. The carpet looks original and in very good condition. All of the gauges work including the gas gauge, dometer, nd speedometer. The door pads fit properly. The inside of the convertible top is in good condition. The original radio still works. The blower motor works.

This is an appreciating investment, ffer at a fair price.

A beautiful top-of-the-line Classic convertible with....

PLENTY OF POWER

GREAT LOOKS

A WONDERFUL SOUND

EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING

EASY-ON-THE-EYE DRIVING MACHINE
