Description

1953 Chevy Shop Truck
Killer Patina
Runs and drives great goes down the road great.
Has a fresh Vortec 350 bored 30 over with a fresh turbo 350 trans.around 3K on the engine and trans. The rear is geared 2.73 and you can get out on the highway and run 70-75 all day with no problems. It has new 17'' Ridler wheels and tires all the way around.
The truck is swapped on a regal chassis. We didnt build the truck but it is great looking work. I drove the truck on a 4 hour trip with no problems at all. Fires right up no matter if its hot or cold
It has drop spindles up front. It has the trailing arm setup in the rear with lowered coil springs. It would be simple to air bag the truck if you really wanted to slam it. Rides great and has an awesome stance as it sits. Dual Flowmaster exhaust sounds good.
Power rack and pinion and Power brakes.Everything works on the truck with the exception of the turn signals and they are not wired up.It has working headlights, ailights, lectric wipers that work, ll of the stock gauges work including the speedo. The temp gauge quit working but I put a mechanical temp gauge in mounted to the bottom of the dash. The interior light even works. It has the stock seat in it and its in great shape too. No rips or tears. I also installed a nice looking stock steering wheel from a 55-57 chevy belair. The truck has a nice nostalgic look to it on the inside.I also had a nice stock heater box I installed and wired up to a toggle switch but I have not hooked up the heater hoses yet. I installed a cig lighter with two usb ports as well so you can charge phones cameras, pods etc. All of the glass is good in the truck with the exception of the drivers vent window and the passenger door glass and vent window. I actually may have some extras of those at my shop that I need to check for. Either way they are not expensive to replace. Its all flat glass.85-90% of the rust has been fixed in the truck. The rear fenders are pretty rough and I was gonna replace them just havent found any in my area yet to purchase. Its a pretty solid old truck and with the exception of the rear fenders the rest of the truck is decently straight. The cab has very old original looking paint and patina. The bed has been painted to match the cab and made to look old. I had a paint shop in my area match the paint and they did a heck of a job matching it. I was wanting the change the rear fenders and fake them back in to match the rest of the cab. The wood bed floor is all new and in great shape. The truck needs nothing at all mechanical. The only thing I have noticed is a small oil leak that apprears to be coming from the oil pan. Other than that it holds great oil pressure and no pecks or knocks. Holds around 50psi going down the road even after its warmed up. I have a clean and clear NC title in my name. This truck is offered for sale by Smittys Speed Shop and Used Cars.
