Looking through our inventory, ou'll see a lot of Tri-5 Chevys, ut one thing sticks out: there aren't all that many '56s like this super clean 210 2-door "post" sedan. Whether that's because there are fewer of them or because their owners love them too much to part with them, can't say. What I can say is that if you're a fan of the smooth, efined look of the '56 models, his car is an excellent choice for a turn-key rod.Painting it bright red means that someone wanted to get noticed, nd with that comes the responsibility to get the bodywork right. Many hobbyists feel that the '56s are the cleanest of the Tri-Fives, nd the awesome red finish on this one certainly reinforces that perspective. There's no place for sloppy gaps to hide, o someone made sure they were nice and even, nd while two-tone paint jobs were offered by the factory, he simple look of this car makes a statement, oo. It was done a few years ago, o it's been driven and enjoyed, ut you can't argue with the looks this car gets on the street. The polished stainless, articularly the 210's unique side trim, tands out and looks fantastic, mphasizing the car's lean, porty profile. There's also a sizeable investment in chrome, ecause the bumpers, rille, nd other ornamentation is in excellent shape, nd despite being a custom build, here no deviations from the stock look and all the trim is present and accounted for. The interior nails the perfect blend of retro and modern, ombining the original dash with upgrades like modern cloth upholstery that looks great. Doing it this way not only gives you more comfort, ut an upholstery combination that looks fantastic in the vintage Chevy bodywork. The back seat and custom door panels were stitched to match the front seat, nd black carpets help keep the interior looking serious. A tilt column with leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel adds to the comfort, ecause you're going to want to spend a lot of time in here. The dash is full of gorgeous gauges that are as nice here as they were in 1956, nd for entertainment, here's an AM/FM/cassette stereo that fits in the dash like it was born there. The biggest modification might be the shifter, ut it fits in neatly enough given this car's dual personality. The trunk has a stock look with a rubber mat and bias-ply spare on a steel wheel, nd if you look closely, ou'll see that this car is also quite solid underneath.Easy and reliable cruising was the goal, nd with that in mind they installed a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 with double hump heads, EI ignition, Holley 4-barrel carb, nd a Weiand intake manifold. There's plenty of chrome and billet aluminum under there, oo, ecause you're going to want to take this one to the cruise night and open the hood, nd you'll dig details like the braided stainless lines that are used throughout. An automatic transmission offers quick reflexes and the stock rear end hangs on a set of air shocks so this car always has just the right attitude. Long-tube headers and a Flowmaster exhaust system sounds awesome, nd power disc brakes show that this car was meant for the road, ot the show field. Classic Torque Thrust mags finish the traditional look and wear 225/70/15 blackwall radials. It's a safe bet to assume this car will be like all the other '56s we feature: it won't last long.
