I bought the car earlier this summer with the intentions of doing some work to it and driving it for awhile. Unfortunately, ith my busy schedule I haven't been able to do so, nd would like direct my time and resources into some other business opportunities. A lot of money was invested into this Corvette. The Vortech Supercharger kit was around $6k alone. You add up the rest of the parts and that puts it around $10k. It does need some tuning, hough. When you first start the car, ou have to keep it running for about 30 seconds to get it to idle on its own. When you give it gas quick after its been idling there is a slight hesitation before it revs up. I haven't done much looking into it, ut I'm thinking it may be a fuel/tuning issue. The car is still driveable as is, ut I wouldn't beat on it until its looked at. The car drives great down the road, uspension and steering seem good and tight. No check engine lights. With proper tuning and everything running properly, t should make around 475hp at the flywheel or 400hp at the wheels with current modifications. I'll list a few of the issues below that I've noticed:
-Fuel/Tuning Issue Stated Above
-Headliner Sagging
-Could Use a Weatherstrip Kit for Door/Roof Area
-Needs Power Antenna Repair Kit (Motor still works, ut mast doesn't go up and down.) (Common Issue)
-Speedometer/Odometer Stopped Working (Everything else works on digital dash.) (I read online that the connections on the back of the cluster may just need to be cleaned due to corrosion possibly.)
-Missing Driver's Floormat
-Service ABS Light comes on sometimes
-Trans shifts hard from 2nd to 3rd (May just need adjustment.)
All in all, ts a really clean low mileage car that has a lot of potential. The Corvette looks great in the rare Quaser Blue Metallic paint and is given a nice stance with the staggered C5 Z06 wheels. It's had a lot of money in parts stuck into it and just needs some tuning and few other small things addressed to be at the next level. Car is located about 2 hours west of Chicago. Clear title. Clean Autocheck report. No Reserve! Starting price is what the Vortech Supercharger kit cost alone. I can be contacted at 815-291-4833 by calling/texting if there are any questions. I reserve to end the auction at anytime. Car is sold as is. Anyone is able to view the car before bidding. Thanks for looking. -Jason
On Oct-23-15 at 09:19:03 PDT, eller added the following information:
I accidentally added two of the same wheel pics. Both pics are of the rear wheel with C5 brake upgrade. I meant to add a front wheel pic showing the large C5 rotor and caliper with "Corvette" cast into it. Ebay won't let me change the pics since I'm at the picture limit. I can e-mail/text the pic or take and send any other pictures to anyone that would like them. Thanks. -Jason I also had a "Buy it Now" option for $8,000. It was there when I listed it, ut now is gone for some reason. -Jason
