A very Nice 1974 Camaro Type LT. I bought this car from the 2nd owner in 2009 where it had been stored in a warehouse for 12 years prior to me getting it. When I got the car home, put a battery in it, prayed carburetor with wd40 and put gas in it and it ran like a top with no immediate improvements. The body was in excellent condition but as you can imagine needed a face lift so here is what I did to the car in 2010. New Paint, ew Interior (dash, eadliner, arpet, eats, oors, oor thresholds, indow trim), ew Vinyl Top, ew Wheel Beauty Rings and Centers, ew Grill, ew Carpet and Floor Mats, ew Cooper Cobra Tires, ew Shocks and new rear leaf springs. There is one door handle that is broken inside and I will replace prior to pickup.
The car drives as it should with no known issues. I would drive it a long distance and not worry about it.
I drove the car occasionally on weekends to car shows and out on dates with my wife as this is a car just like we dated in in high school some 30 years ago.
In 2012 my wife had the Engine gone through for me and the following are the items that were done. Small Cam, ew Holley Carb, ew Headers, ew pistons, ings, ods and rockers, ew valve covers, ew air cleaner, ew 3500 stall converter and transmission refreshed and shift kit installed, new radiator, ew wires, istributor, oses, elts and etc. The car is peppy now compared to the factory engine that only had 195 HP. The guy that built the engine used to build engines for Junior Johnson's Team(NASCAR Racer). He said he guessed the engine now hasbetween 250 and 275HPbut it has not been dyno'ed. The engine may have 1000 miles on it since it was rebuilt/refreshed.
There is one little bit of rust that has popped through on the bottom of the driver side door and shown in the picture. There was rust here when I bought the car and as I said it has been painted for 6 years and I didn't pay a lot for the paint and body work. The paint shows well and the car has been garaged since I have owned it but it is not show quality. The color is a 1974 color and called Pale Yellow.
