1968 Chrysler 300
440-TNT Convertible
Affordable Mopar Big Block power that just so happens to be a Convertible!Cool car, reat lines, ith plenty of power.
The number series from Chrysler has long been esteemed and well regarded among collectors and enthusiasts due to styling and performance, ot to mention availability. As the years pass, here are fewer surviving examples with many having left the hands of private owners. Not a perfect car, ut a very nice example of one you can enjoy today and improve over time.
A new look graced the Chrysler 300 again in 1967, ith a crisp inward curve on the car’s side and fenders that pinched forward of the headlights. The 383 V-8 bowed out of production meaning the 300’s standard engine was now a 350-hp, 40-c.i. V-8 with an optional 375-hp 440 available. The car remained unchanged for 1968. These changes brought with them concealed headlamps which were to be 300 trademark until 1971.Priced right!
Though this Chrysler is not a perfect specimen worthy of a showing display stay at the Louvre, t is still considered to be a really nice driver.
It is a used vehicle and obviously previously enjoyed hence the seam tears due to normal wear on the seats.
The exterior had been repainted once before many moons ago and still shines beautifully.
Mechanically this is a powerfull vehicle and performs as it should, inor nuances are the hideaway headlights occasionally needing manual assistance going up.
Sharp lines, opar power, nd top down fun...
Enough said.
