For Sale is my 1989 Chrysler TC by Maserati 16V 5spd convertible in Royal Cabernet with ginger interior and a black soft top. Car has been owned since January 2006. Had sat covered for 6 years until 2012 when i replaced the rare calipers tires all fluids and insured the car to drive. The odometer has never worked since i purchased I believe it to be no more than 62000 miles as i have not driven it more than 500 miles in the only 3 years i have had it on the road. Comes with all the original manuals tool kit umbrella hardtop holder hardtop cloth cover and some original dealer literature. the plaque on it lists it as number 951 and this is significant as all the info provided points to the original owner that purchased it in Nov of 89 and his name is the same name on the plaque and dealer paperwork. Car has a non-commonblock 2.2L 16valve cosworth maserati headed motor and a 284 getrag 5speed transmission. Teves abs 4wheel disc brakes in which the whole system does work and no brake light or abs light comes on after the initial start up when the car is running and braking. The hardtop has clear original port hole glass and original rear defrost window. the Soft top has arely ever been used but i have had it out and it is in excellent shape. the paint on the car is poor the clear coat has worn off so it could use a full repaint if you desire a show car. the leather is also pretty dry and its functional but hardly amazing. the radio does work and so does the power antenna. 4 good fondmetal wheels with center caps. has both original service manuals. car is 1 of 501 16V 5spd cars made. it has plenty of power and does put you in the seat when the turbo spools which is quite quick compared to its 2.2L 8v automatic counterpart. factory rated the car at 200 hp and it does feel it. the car originally came from Illinois so this car as only been in the rust belt 9 years and of which it only has been driven on the roads here 3 years and of which it has seen the winter roads 1 season. the car has a very heavy undercoating the full length of the undercarriage i can not find anything more than some scaling on some areas that were not undercoated as they require servicing so cant coat them if you ever plan to remove the bolts or parts. i have loads of photos i has video of the car running the only thing i do not have access to is a pole lift so i am unable to take undercarriage photos unless somebody in the local area( +-40min) has a shop and id gladly drive it there within reason for a visual inspection.i'm sure there is more i'll answer any questions. i am seling as i'm looking to purchase something different and with 5 cars already something has to go. the car will not make a cross country trip unless its on a flatbed i has not driven it more than 2 hrs continuously on a trip to make that determination of its reliability.
