Description

NO RESERVE !

I originally bought this 92 Chrysler 5th Ave used from a dealer for my wife when it had about 50000 miles on it back in 2003 … and she drove it continuously up until about a year and a half ago … and she loved it.

MY wife takes meticulous care of her vehicles so … you can count on the fact that it was an extremely “well kept” vehicle.

When I got her a newer vehicle about a year and a half ago I ended up inheriting this 5th Avenue as my ‘second’ car. It is a perfect spare ‘work’ vehicle because in has a tremendous amount of room in the back seat and it has a gigantic trunk area.

I recently got a newer ‘second’ car vehicle … so it is now up for sale … ready to give you many more years of reliable … comfortable … and rather ‘elegant’ service

PROS …

I put rear AIR LIFT air bags in it because I sometimes carry heavy stuff and I wanted to be able to control the ride.

Those AIR LIFTS work perfectly. I mounted the sir pump control and gauge for the Air Lifts below the dash to the left of the steering column. There is a picture of the gage and control in the picture area. And I mounted the air pump used to inflate them in the trunk.

I also put a special trailer hitch on it. So you can either put a 1 7/8" coupler on it ... or you can slip a 2” square receiver into it with any size ball you desire … or you can slide an extra cargo carrier into it for things that don’t fit … or that you don’t want inside the car or in the trunk (such as a lawn mower … like I used to do:). It also has a 4 prong trailer light hook up on it which can be kept inside the trunk to keep it clean and out of the grime when it’s not in use.

It only has 119000 miles on the odometer and other than the damaged left headlight area and some blotches in the paint on the trunk area this car starts right up even in the coldest weather and runs very well.

The inside upholstery is in excellent condition … although I had to staple up the headliner because it began to sag a little.

All of the power windows and doors work perfectly as does the radio cruise control power steering and air conditioning (although I have had it recharged once).

The tires are in good condition and have at least 50% to 75% of wear left on them. I took a picture of one of the treads which is also in the photo section.

This is Chrysler’s top of the line luxury car and as such it is a very comfortable and quiet driving vehicle

It has a clean title with no liens as you can see by the picture in the photo section.

It would make you a great reliable and inexpensive vehicle.

CONS …

I previously listed this vehicle on eBay … but eBay removed the listing because their Auto Check records indicate “Salvage 02-02-2002 ROCHESTER NY” …

However our title which was issued on 8/27/2003 is NOT a salvage title.

I have posted a picture of our title in the photo section which clearly shows that this vehicle has a regular (non-salvage) title.

But because of the error in the Auto Check records in order to re-list it on eBay I must list it as a salvage title … or it will be automatically removed by eBay … even though the title is NOT a salvage title. (There is apparently an error in the Auto Check records … but it is just about impossible to have those records corrected … so I just went ahead and listed it as salvage title … even though it isn’t.

But I GUARANTEE that the title you receive will be a regular title … NOT a salvage title.

About a year ago I hit a deer which damaged the left front headlight area ... and put a slight ding in the driver's door when the deer swung around after I hit it with the bumbler and headlight area. The damage also shows up in the pictures. The low beam headlight shown in that photo still works.

The deer strike did not affect the car other than having the left high beam bulb not working … so I continued to drive it for several months … just like it is.

However I recently decided to get another second car rather than repair this one … thus the reason it is up for sale.

I also noticed that during the last few times I drove it that the automatic transmission failed to shift up to the highest level. I looked in the owner’s manual (which is still in the clove compartment) and it said that can be easily fixed … but it must be taken to a dealer to re-program its computer. So having already transferred the plates to my new 2nd vehicle I have not been able to drive it to a dealer to get that done.

That is about it.

It has been a great car for us for about 12 years … and I’m confident that it will continue to be nice comfortable transportation for you for a long time into the future.

It starts right up and runs fine … it has good tires with 50 to 75% of the tread left … it has a really comfortable interior which is on the luxurious side … The air conditioning worked fine the last time I tried it (but may need re-charging from time to time)… and the radio works perfectly … so it has the potential to make you good cheap ‘luxury car’ transportation … either as it sets if you don’t mind driving it with a few “warts” … or after the few items mentioned above are repaired.

I’m starting the bidding at only $400 (which is about the salvage value) … and there is NO RESERVE … so the high bidder will own it … period.

The amount of the high bid MUST be received by me within 48 hours after the auction ends … either by overnight mail … or by direct wire transfer from your bank to mine. (I will furnish my address and the wire transfer details upon closing of the auction.)

You may then pick up the vehicle at any time after payment has been received by me.

If you need a while before you can pick it up I can also store it for you free of charge indefinitely.

Like all of the great cars I’ve owned over the years … I hate to part with it … but the time has come for me to pass it on to someone else that can now get more good use out of it.

So I wish you good luck in your bidding.
