The factories: Levallois-Perret near Paris (France Citroën 2CV (French: "deux chevaux"that is to say"two horses") is a front engine, front wheel drive, air cooled economy car introduced at the 1948 Paris Salon Mondial de l'Automobile.The Citroen 2cv wasmanufactured by Citroën in Europe between1948 and 1990 in several factories. The most important), Vigo (Spain), and Belgium. And the final two years of 2CV production took place only in Mangualde (Portugal), before production ended in 1990.
A 1953 technical review in Autocar described "the extraordinary ingenuity of this design, which is undoubtedly the most original since the model T Ford". Setright described the 2CV as "the most intelligent application of minimalism ever to succeed as a car", calling it a car of "remorseless rationality". The 2CV is unquestionably one of the cars of the twentieth century!
This car was sold new in Barcelona (Spain),in the hands of one family from 1963 to 2013 (50 years!!). In 2013 a Spanish collector bought the car and he makes minor maintenance work. In 2016 the carisimported from Europe. Fully revised by a specialist before embarking to the United States.The car lookswith beautiful patinaand drives excellent!
This unit is a true survivor with very low miles.Four windows model with oldest and rare suicide doors!! Beautiful colors combination: blue with grey wheels, bumpers and hood, and red interior with grey dash. Very rare to find in this condition.
This rare model is equipped with a two cylinder 425 CC air cooled engine,4 speed manual transmission,6 volts. Always starting and running beautifully like a new 2CV in 1963.
