I picked this little gem up a few months ago while trolling Craigslist for an El Camino. I was not looking for this car, t just spoke to me when I saw it. It did not run and was sitting on flat tires when I got it. It was built in the early 90s by the previous owner, ho added a 0.30 over 283 sbc and TH350 transmission. The motor runs well but is tired; it has blowby and the valvetrain is a bit noisy. The transmission has a shift kit and shifts well, t will bark the tires in second gear. The rear end is stock, ith original halfshafts. One halfshaft has a very loose u-joint, o I don't drive it very far.I do have a couple of what look like brand new shafts that I will throw in with the car. The car has Superior wire wheels with brand new 235/60/15 and 215/60/15 tires, nd the brakes are new in the rear; shoes, heel cylinders, ardware, nd new master cylinder. The radiator has been rodded out, nd has a new thermostatic controller for the Hayden electric fan. It runs around 190-200 degrees. The fuel tank has been boiled out, t has a new Carter fuel pump, ew lines, egulator, ilter, nd a new 600CFM shiny finish Holley 4bbl. The interior is in pretty good shape, rey/black seats, rey carpet, m/fm CD with custom kick panels that hold 5 1/4 Rockford Fosgate speakers, he dash has a full cap and white face gauges. The car does have working AC, ut the belt is off - the tensioner is not aligned very well so it throws the belt. I'm hoping to have that fixed by auction end.The biggest flaws are with paint and body work...the main areas of issue, ther than the generally worn/faded paint, s the cracking at the top of the B pillar that needs re-glueing to the metal roof and rust repair, he rusty hatch, nd the rusty hatch panel. I have more in the car than I'm selling it for. The body kit alone sells for more than my start price. The car needs some paint and body work but is otherwise in pretty good shape. You will not see another when you cruise it around. Always draws a crowd at the gas station. This vehicle is for sale locally. $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment due withinm three days of auction close. DO NOT make travel arrangements or shipping plans until you coordinate with me. Other classic cars for sale
