Beautiful Rare 1974 Datsun 260Z. Excellent condition inside and out. This is an outstanding example of a rare classic Z car! This car is well maintained. The color is two-tone silver and grey giving the car a unique look. The custom paint is in great condition. The car has been garage kept, has never seen rain or snow and has little to no rust. The car has never been in an accidentand the carbs work great with no vapor lock issues.
I bought this car from the original owner in Kansas. She had it in her garage for years. I drove it home and completely restored the interior and exterior. The seats were recovered, new dash cover, new carpets, etc. This car has been driven an average of LESS THAN 200 MILES A YEAR. I only take it out on weekends to bring to a car show or for a quick drive to the beach. It is in great condition and has very little wear. The original factory 6-Cylinder engine and original transmission are sound and function as they should. The motor has no leaks or smoke and runs like new. The transmission shifts very smoothly. This 260Z instantly starts up and runs like it is brand new.
This 260 was only available in the US for one year and it is very rare to find one in this condition. The 260Z car is a sporty classic that is highly desired and appreciating by the day. I installed a new radio with CD player however I still have the original. This is a matching numbers vehicle. Eight years ago I swapped out the original 4 speed for a 5 speed transmission. Earlier this year I put the original 4 speed back so the clutch and water pump are brand new. The car is much quicker with the 4 speed in there. In addition this year I replaced the starter and radiator.
You will love this car. It’s fun to drive and get lots of thumbs up on the road. Best of all these cars continue to go up in value.
