Description

Up for sale, a beautiful Datsun 240 Z finished in rally flats white over black interior. Enthusiast owned and very well cared for. This is a California, garage-kept 240z and is in original condition with tasteful “period correct” performance modifications. Body is fitted with properly installed fender flares to accommodate wider wheels and lowered suspension. Rear fenders have been rolled and not cut and front fenders have not been rolled or cut.

Under the hood is an upgraded inline 6 L-26 with Edlebrock carburetor, capping the 6=8 Clifford intake manifold. Performance headers feeding to 2 ½” pipe back to a 4” tone resonator (sounds amazing yet not too loud).

Electric fuel pump with dialable pressure regulator.

Pertronix ignition and Flame Thrower coil, aluminum radiator with electric adjustable thermostatic fan.

Engine is mated to a factory 5 speed transmission. Clutch shifts smoothly. No oil leaks and burns no oil. Always starts on the first turn of the key. Electrical upgraded to a Painless fuse-block.

All lights and turn signals work. Interior is in excellent condition with period correct flourishes such as the vintage Izumi four spoke steering wheel and the Monoco rally seats.

Carpets are like new and un-faded. No rips or tears anywhere. Windows roll up and down as they should and the doors lock.

Wheels and suspension:

Watanabe 15x 9s with new Goodyear 215-60-R15 all matching.

Tokico comp lowering springs, urethane bushings all around.

Steering is very tight and responsive.

Buy this 240z for a fraction of what you would pay for a 911 of similar vintage, and beat them on the track. I have owned both. The 240z is stronger faster lighter and has legendary reliability and need I say, far less expensive to maintain.
