DeSoto S-1 deluxe Airstreams for 1936 enjoyed great success because of changes for 1936 included a lowered chassis by one inch and a longer wheelbase this model was available only for one year. A metal roof insert replaced the soft inserts of earlier cars. A 93 hp version of the reliable and peppy Chrysler Corp six continued to power the 1936 cars. Independent front suspension and 4 wheel hydraulic brakes system made the cars a pleasure to drive. 1936 DeSoto Airstream Business coupe was the first coupe styles to have a deck lid extending down to the bumper level providing full access to the trunk compartment which is still all original and N.O.S.. The spare tire inside mounted vertically behind the single 2-passenger seat. Factory optional rear wheel skirts further accent the coups clean lines and are with the car . The car is well preserved condition and is fully operational. brake fuel and cooling system areoriginal and working. A new plastic steel fuel tank has been installed. Clear title.
