1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Turbo Z
This Daytona was driven and serviced regularly up until it was parked inside from 2000 to 2010. My wife purchased the car new so she didn’t want to sell it when we bought newer cars to drive.
In 2010 I decided I wanted to make it drive able again. As a result of the long period of not running, I had to replace the fuel tank, pump, fuel filter, spark plugs and some rusted fuel and brake lines. It also got new brake hoses, reman calipers and new pads on all four corners. The injectors and fuel pressure regulator was replaced. The radiator was replaced as well as the water pump, timing belt and all other belts. Battery is new.
The head gasket was replaced last Winter. The engine is remarkably clean inside. It does not look like an engine with 210,000 miles showing on the odometer.
The body was rustproofed when new. It is in excellent shape. The tires have less than 1,000 miles on them. The interior and seats are clean and not worn through anywhere.
I have decided to sell now that my wife has passed away. I have too many other cars to care for so I would like someone else to have the pleasure of driving a great old car.
I performed this work myself and I am a retired Certified Chrysler technician. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have!
