Description

Extremely Rare Dakota. This is the rarest of all Dodge Dakota's. Production was very low for 1990 - 1992 Model years. I haven't found an exact count but articles say only a few hundred were produced and they we sold as special order only. Maybe only 38 were made for model year 1990. L.E.R. Industries did the conversion for Dodge. Performance for the Chrysler Car Enthusiast magazine did an article on these trucks in May 1992, you can find it on line. This particular truck was order by a Chrysler employee in 1990 and he owned until his passing about ten years ago. Since then it was owned by his Daughter and Grandsons until this year. It has just over 58,000 original miles and runs, shifts and stops well. Shows very well and gets a lot of attention wherever it goes. paint has normal wear and stone chips. Tires have good tread and a worn evenly all around minor cracking but I have driven on three trips of over a hundred miles on them in 85-90 degree weather this summer with no problems. You are looking at an extremely rare 1990 Dodge Dakota "Li'l Red Express" conversions made by LER Industries of Edwardsburg, Michigan.This truck was purchased from a local Dodge dealer when new in 1990. Notice that the door decal reads "Li'l Red Express Dakota." This decal is original only on the conversions made by LER, and only about 35 were made in 1990. This is not a homemade li'l red using reproduced decals meant for the full size trucks, which read "Li'l red express truck"
