Description

1967 Dodge Coronet 440 "Barn Fresh" find! This 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 is a 2 door hardtop. powered by a 383 in front of a 727 torqueflite and an 8. 75" rear. It was originally equipped with a 318. Its a factory A/C car. and also came with the AM radio. The radio still works. but the A/C equipment is gone. It has about 66. 00 original miles. Obviously. the car needs some work. although it really is in excellent shape for a barn find project car! When I purchased it from the previous owner. he threw a battery in it. it started right up and he drove it to my house. so it does currently run and drive. however he had to pinch off a couple of rusted brake lines. I have moved it several times during the time I have owned it - all that was necessary was to hook up the battery and it always fired right up. The body is straight. and there are only a few spots where some rust issues need to be addressed. though it just seems like just minor surface rust for the most part. It would make a great base for a restoration or could be a daily driver with a minimum amount of work. (Basically would just need some brake lines along with the usual wear items like tires. windshield wiper blades. etc. ) I don't know very much about the history of the car except that it has been in this area for many years. It was purchased by a gentleman who is something of a local Mopar guru - I saw it sitting in his driveway while he was showing it to a prospective buyer and I ended up buying it with the intent of restoring it into a nice driver. That was 10 years ago - I just got too busy with some other projects that had a higher priority and never got around to this one. I recently came to the realization that I probably never would get around to it. so I've decided to let the car go to someone who can truly enjoy it. The person I bought the car from said it had been stored indoors. he stored it indoors. and the entire time I have had it. I have stored it indoors. either in a garage or a pole barn. It has obviously been repainted at some point. and although it was not painted in an original Mopar color. the paint job has held up very well. With these old odometers that only read up to 100. 00 miles. it isn't always possible to tell if (or how many times) it has rolled over. but the man I bought it from believed that the indicated miles were original. based on his inspection and knowledge of the car's history. There are several pictures below - the first few smaller pictures are from when I first purchased the car in 2005. The larger pics were taken recently. showing the car where it is currently sitting - in my pole barn. The vehicle is for sale locally and in other venues. so I reserve the right to end this listing early should the car sell outside of eBay. If you are the winning purchaser. a $500 deposit via Paypal is required within 48 hours of the auction end. with the remainder due via a certified check. money order or cash. Obviously. cash in person would be preferable but in the case of a check or money order. the car may be picked up if my bank deems it to be legit. and I will mail out the title once the funds have actually cleared. The car is currently located in Forestville. NY (14062). You can pick it up here or I have an enclosed car hauler and would be willing to deliver the car to the winning buyer for $1. 20 per loaded mile. however the car and delivery fee must be paid for in full with all funds cleared before delivery would take place. If you have any questions that this listing hasn't answered. please feel free to message me and I will do my best to answer. Thanks for your interest! As one Mopar enthusiast to another. it is my hope that you can look past the dust and see the diamond that this car really is to give it the life that it deserves - out and about cruising the highways!
