Description

You are looking at a 1969 Dodge 100 long bed pickup. This truck has original paint and some great fade to it. It has a 318 V8 and a 3-speed standard column-shift transmission.I'll start by saying this truck is 46 years old and is not perfect and I will try to list the issues it has to the best of my knowledge: The transmission wants to grind when shifting into first and reverse I was told the synchronizers were wearing out. Putting the transmission into second and then shifting into reverse or first dramatically reduces this to the point that it doesn't grind probably 90% of the time. The seat needs recovered. The horn doesn't work. The radio is missing. The truck is missing two pieces of trim one on the right rear and a very small piece at the left cab corner. The turn signal stalk will not lock in when signaling left. The truck has a little rust at the back bed corners and in the rockers. Someone has patched the floor and the metal has a slight pop to it when you put your weight on it and for some reason they welded a brace beneath the cab. The tailgate has two notable areas of rust one around the handle and another at the bottom of the gate on the passenger's side. Also the gate does not hinge properly because the cup it's supposed to rest in on the right side is missing. The truck has some dents most notably on the left side and a couple on the hood. The windshield has a chip in it and some slight clouding around the edges. The weatherstripping around the doors is worn out and the cab does get a very slight amount of water in it.Now that may sound like a lot but none of it has taken away from my enjoyment of this truck. And I want to be upfront and honest with you as I know bidders will most likely not get to see the truck in person before bidding so I have tried to attach pictures pertaining to these issues. Now on to the high points: Look at it! The truck has some great patina and gets a lot of attention wherever it goes. I've put close to 500 miles on this truck in the last month including about a 300 mile round-trip to a car show for a weekend. The truck ran excellent and had zero issues. It has a new master cylinder and the truck stops good but it is 4-wheel drum so they don't stop like discs. It has four new tires with less than 1000 miles on them. All the lights on the truck work: Low and high-beam headlights turn signals all around tail lights brake lights reverse lights and even the emergency flashers. All the gauges work the speedometer has a bit of a wobble to it. Now remember that tailgate I was talking about? I happen to have found it in a salvage yard about a month ago! That's right look at it again. It matches perfectly. The 2-barrel 318 runs great and the truck is running dual exhaust with glasspacks and has a nice snarl to it. The truck has a Sallisaw Oklahoma dealer bumper on the rear and I believe the truck has been in Oklahoma all its life. I have a clean and green Oklahoma title in my name. These trucks are hard to find. I think this one would make a great shop truck have your logo painted on the door or just drive it like it is. That's what I've been doing! Buyer is responsible for pickup and delivery of the truck. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message and thanks for looking!

A few things I forgot to mention the wheels are 15" steel and were recently painted. I'm not sure how wide they are but the tire size on the rear is 275/60/15. I still have some of the paint that was used to paint the wheels. Where the brace was welded beneath the cab someone sprayed a little shot of black over the welds I sanded it off on the driver's side and went over it with the green and it matches very good however I left the spot on the passenger side. So you don't have to worry about how to cover that up paint is included! Also I didn't state this before but I believe the engine and transmission to be original to the truck. I haven't actually dove in and looked for the numbers but the truck still has the original carburetor and air cleaner and even the rubber heat shroud around the radiator. Also the truck has a green headliner in good shape which I forgot to take a picture of and I believe it to be original. And lastly I do have the parts to fix the hinge for the tailgate but the screws in the brackets are a little stubborn and I wasn't able to get them out at the time I put the tailgate on.
