Description
Up for auction is a 1968 Dodge Dart that is setup for racing but I still haveclear title in my name so if you want to put it on the street you can. This thing sounds awesome under boost and when you open the hood people are amazed. It has a turbocharged 318 and 727 trans. The engine is studded with ARP studs top and bottom with cosmetic head gaskets so it can handle a lot more boost. Has custom diamond pistons that are 8.7 to 1 with 62cc heads that have been ported if I find paperwork I will include it. Has a custom grind engle cam for turbo setup and works great on this combo. The ignition is Msd 6al with msd billet distributor and wires. This combo ran 11.58 at 117 with 8 lbs of boost there is a lot more left in it if you want to up the boost and cage it. The 727 has a turbo action custom 3400 stall convertor and manual valve body with dual trans cooler. Car also has line loc for burnouts but you really don't need it. The rear is an 8 3/4 that has been narrowed a little to fit some big meats for traction with the leaf springs moved in and a mopar pinion snubber. It is a posi with 4.30 gear and moser axles. The car has been converted to larger bolt pattern all around with disc brakes up front and drum in the rear. The car has frame connectors and driveshaft safety loop. The car is pretty clean underneath for its age The major bad points are the trunk lid has no hinges but I was going to put fiberglass lid with zeus fasteners. With a paint job and a little work this car could be nice very easy or race and enjoy as is.There is a lot of money invested the trans was $1500 the convertor $900 driveshaft $200 engine combo $45008 3/4 rear end was $1600disc brake& front end setup was $850 and the dart body was$3500 plus buying the msd stuff and fuel ect extra. The car isn't perfect but you could get near this point with what the reserve is.This car will make an awesome street and strip car I have a lot of extras for this car we can discuss price with parts. I actually had efi setup on here and just converted it back to carberator bungs are welded in exhaust so efi install will be easy. I don't have time for the car anymore and would like to see it go to a good home the car has tons of potential and is very powerful for a little 318. All serious buyers call me at 812-530-7384 and I will go over the details with you. Thanks for looking and have a great day
