Description

Selling my 1980 Dodge Crewcab shortbed 2 wheel drive. Its a D200 3/4 ton with 318/727/Dana 60 rearend. Originally a State of California Cal Trans truck and since has been a work truck but has not been used in 4 years. I have a title (salvaged) in my name and the truck is currently on California Non-Operation status which means there are no back fees if you wanted to register it in CA.The truck starts right up and idles smooth but is very tired (it has great power though just very grimy). The engine has an exhaust leak near the manifold and lifter clatter when warm. The transmission works but you can tell its old and out of adjustment and or worn as its not seemless but it does do the job. The biggest problem with it is that you have to ease up on the gas to allow it to shift into the next gear. I just drove the truck around the block several times and had it running about an hour. If you are mechanically inclined you you might be able to drive this some distance although i would recommend you tow it. The battery radiator brakes steering carburetor and ignition all work good probably better than most in this price range.The seats are really pretty nice for a work truck and all the doors open and close. The body has numerous dents scrapes and a crack in the passenger fender due to the stress of a dent. The tailgate is shot. You can get it to open but you'll need a screwdriver.The pictures pretty much show the condition but if you have any questions please ask.
