Description

Here is a survivor 70 Coronet R/T. 26,000Original miles. In dry storage from 1979 untilWe bought it in 2012.Original owner bought new in ReddingCa. Was ordered as a dealer promo car. ThenBecame a executive car until the second owner purchased it in 1971 with 6000 miles. He drove it for two years then went in the army for 6 years. Returned home was racing it oneFriday Night and spun a bearing. He took the motor out and never put it back In.The car was put into a dry storage building and left alone for 32 years.We purchased it that way from Northern CA in 2012. We then stripped the car to bare metal and started a restoration which lasted three years.We were pleasantly surprised to find we not only had all numbers matching parts, ut we also had a six pack platform engine with a 4 barrel carburetor, riginally ordered from the factory that way. Not completely disassembled because of its nice original condition. This car has the original 440 numbers matching engine which we completely rebuilt. As was the 727 torque flight transmission as well.All original panel car except the center section of the trunk pan which we replaced. The original colors were used being plumb crazy purple with white top and interior. The bottom of the car was also painted and restored as well.Car also has original fender tag.
