You are bidding on the 1965 Dodge Dart GT Convertible. This is a one owner car that was bought new by a couple when they got married. We took on the consignment to restore the vehicle. We put over $4000 in labor and $3,500 in parts and materials into restoring this car.
The mechanics of the convertible top work, t just needs to be recovered. The upholstery needs to be redone. We rebuilt the engine, ebuilt the transmission, esurfaced the flywhee, pgraded it to electronic ignition and installed the following parts on the car:
1. Engine re-bored with 30 over pistons
2. New factory cam, ifters, nd cam bearing
3. Standard crank and bearings
4. New factory clutch
5. New factory throw-out bearing
6. New pressure plate
7. New starter
8. New factory alternator
9. New u-joints
10. All new front and rear bearings
11. New master cylinder
12. New front and rear brakes
13. New factory aluminum radiator
14. New belts
15. New hoses
16. New tires
We did all the mechanical work and rebuilt the chassis from the front-end to the rear-end on this vehicle. Unfortunately the customer ran out of money to complete the car. His loss is your gain. This is a great project car!
This has not been driven since the repair work has been completed.
