Description

I built this as fast road & rally car [not a vintage racer-I have other cars & bikes for that] to 1960 Fiat Abarth 750 Berlina original period specs upgraded with 4 wheel disk brakes with E brake rear calipers 13” magnesium rims a hot reverse rotation [via 2 square cut timing gears] stage ll 903 lightened flywheel diaphragm clutch and modified input shaft to run with 600 gearbox. Almost all of the Abarth parts used are original. The front suspension spring is re- arched reversed rolled perches with location rod with gas shocks on the front-stand on the rear & other Abarth specs like a tall rad etc. The interior has original condition 600 seats & upholstery panels [red & white] recolored to black via marine grade vinyl upholstery paint. The 90 mph speedo has an oil pressure gauge set in where the oil pressure idiot light was located. The Tach has an electric unit in that I modified to fit [I have the original abarth mechanical tach with my spare parts]. Below the dash is a functioning coolant gauge [runs cool on hot days] with a 180 degree thermostat the heat venting chute under the rad is permanently locked open. The windscreen washer button beside the coolant gauge is connected an electric washer pump. The ashtray is a suction cup mounted period piece. All chrome & refinished aluminum trim /door handles etc. still present as new. The 2 part epoxy [Porsche Guards Red]paint is unfaded & bright with only 2 small blister spots [back of left front & rear wheel wells]. Fully cleaned and under coated when painted there is no hidden rust in the body. Streetable in city traffic & cruises at 70mph on the open highway having done numerous long distance trips down the Pacific coast to vintage races at SIR outside of Seattle and Portland over the years. The body noise harmonics come in around 55mph [loud] & drive thru by 60mph. The engine puts out around 90hp running the Weber DCNF 2 barrel down draft non progressive carb with a divider plate in head port for two cylinders per barrel balance and runs on 94 Octane Chevron pump gas [no ethanol!] The gas pedal is like an on /off switch and zings the revs up & down with the lightened flywheel. Full focus is needed while driving aggressively-it can turn around & bite you. The acceleration up to 4th gear out runs Ex works factory built 69 Abarth 1000 Berlina Corsa [5 speed] that I restored after this build.Included with the sale will be the Abarth mechanical driven Tach2 shorter rear coil springs for neg camber when laden4 original Abarth small alum grille whiskersExcellent condition original headliner panel [period correct glue in fiber style]I can assist you with setting up import/ export thru an international border broker agency "es on Point to Point covered & secure road transport into the USA or via International ocean "roll on roll off"container shipping.Vancouver BC is the largest international ocean cargo port in CanadaPayment by International Banking on line transferThere is an album on my Flickr / Please ask for link thru ask seller a question at the bottom of this listing or email david@autorestore.caThe car is currently listed elsewhere and I reserve the right to end this listing at any time
